Here's the trailer of the live-action movie adaptation of Tokyo Yamimushi. The movie stars Renn Kiriyama (Kamen Rider W, Switch Girl!!) as Ryou Katou, the movie's protagonist.
Ryou Katou is a 23-year-old man who lives alone with no job, no hopes and no savings. Ryou has wracked up 2.85 million yen (about US$30,600) in debt, and one day he is kidnapped by debt collectors. The debt collector Asamura (played by Kosuke Toyohara) then tells Ryou that his life is "similar to a bug's" and offers him a shady-sounding "job" that will introduce him to money.
The movie also stars Honoka (Unofficial Sentai Akibarager) as Sakura Aoi. Written and directed by Sakichi Sato (Tokyo Zombie, Ichi the Killer), Tokyo Yamimushi is set to premiere this summer.
