A live-action movie adaptation of Yasunobu Yamauchi's Daily Lives of High School Boys (Danshi Kōkōsei no Nichijō) will star Masaki Suda (Kamen Rider W) as the film's main protagonist Tadakuni. Also staring in the movie are Shuhei Nomura (GTO 2012) as Yoshitake and Ryo Yoshizawa (Kamen Rider Fourze) as Hidenori.
The film will a story of a school festival that is being jointly organized by Tadakuni, Yoshitake, and Hidenori's all-boys school and an adjacent all-girls school. The film will also feature an original character named Saino, played by Rui Kurihara (Zekkyō Gakkyū). Actresses playing the roles of female high school students include: Anri Okamoto, Mizuki Yamamoto, and Mio Uema. Other supporting cast includes Kumiko Shiratori, Sara Takatsuki, Yui Koike, and Eita Okuno.
Filming began last January, and has already wrapped up. Directed by Daigo Matsui (Afro Tanaka), Showgate will release the movie, which is set for an October 12 release.
