Manga creator Hiro Mashima announced via Twitter the anime adaptation of the Fairy Tail and Rave Master crossover one-shot manga. The anime will be bundled in Fairy Tail's 39th manga volume on August 16th. Both titles are created by Mashima.
In this crossover, Fairy Tail's Natsu and Rave's Haru are lost, so Lucy and Elie will try and find these two. This crossover special will include original content for the new anime courtesy of Mashima himself as he is supervising all parts of the crossover manga personally! New sequences include: Musica and Let and two Rave characters who did not appear in the crossover manga.
Mashima also assured Fairy Tail fans of both series that they can still enjoy the crossover anime even if you haven't read (or watched) any Rave yet... but you will enjoy it more if you read (or watched) Rave.
