Nintendo announced that a spiritual successor for the classic SNES game, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past will be released for the Nintendo 3DS this year. The title of this new game is still unknown as of this writing.
Taking place in the same world like that of A Link to the Past, this new game will feature an original story and new dungeons. The new game will feature a "top-down perspective, a heightened sense of verticality in dungeons will make use of the system's 3D screen."
In addition, Link can become flat drawing, enabling him to move on walls, and corners that can only be accessed using that skill. With this new skill, Link can explore new areas and special puzzles that require this skill.
