Ninja Sentai Kakuranger 15 – The Flower Kunoichi Gang Has Arrived!

Prince Junior released the Shuten-Doji brothers out from their prison cell, in one condition, to destroy the Kakurangers. Aside from that, our prince here summoned his subordinates, the Flower Kunoichi Gang to help the Shuten-Doji brothers in their mission to defeat the Kakurangers by sending our heroes to the Wandering Forrest. Can our heroes find a way to defeat these new enemies?

For 15 episodes now, we see our heroes in a state that they are almost defeated by their enemies. This is one of those rare times that you can say our heroes are completely defeated and it is hopeless for them to fight back. To put it in simpler terms, this episode is so intense that it makes you wish that the next episode will come after this episode. But nope, this is a weekly show and you need to wait for the next episode to come out next week... that's what will I say if I made this review back in 1994.

Anyway, the Flower Kunoichi Gang is one competent group of ninjas. They are so good with their job that the Kakurangers barely noticed them until they made their presence felt. What's great about these five female ninjas is that they were able to capture not one, not two but three Kakurangers, of course with some help coming from the Shuten-Doji brothers. Speaking of which, I tend to ignore these two because I find them too bland. I mean, these two feel like that they are those two strong hired henchmen that will make you piss your pants once you see them. That's how bland they are, they lack personality and these two are just a bunch of glorified brutes.

Even if that is the case, we actually saw Saizou try his best to fight back these two. I am quite impressed with Saizou in this episode, considering that he is my least favorite from this show's those three guys. The only thing disappointing about this scene is that Tsuruhime didn't have the chance to fight back because she dropped her Doron Changer. With two Kakurangers left, Sasuke and Jiraiya decided to band together, and as much as possible, escape from the Flower Kunoichi Gang. But nope, they ended up fighting these ninjas.

Sasuke and Jiraiya's fight with the Flower Kunoichi Gang is amazing. To make it more amazing, Sasuke and Jiraiya are in their regular ninja garb while the Flower Kunoichi Gang are in their transformed forms! What's cool about it is that I barely see any sight of a stunt double fighting as our heroes! So kudos to the actors for doing one great job with the show's action sequences. Even though they clearly have the advantage, the tables are suddenly turned thanks to the appearance of the Shuten-Doji brothers.

All of a sudden, Jiraiya is badly beaten and bruised by the brothers, causing him to ask Sasuke to run away. Speaking of Sasuke, he ends up running away only to be chased by the Flower Kunoichi Gang. To make matters worse, Sasuke is cornered in the middle of a hanging bridge! Wow, for a group of female ninjas, they sure know how to make one good first impression. This scene also made me realize one thing, if Junior handles most of the missions, I will not be surprised if he can defeat the Kakurangers in no time. And with that in mind, Sasuke is sent flying out of the bridge thanks to the Flower Kunoichi Gang's technique, ending part 1 of this story arc.
