Kamen Rider Wizard 30 – The Day the Magic Died

Gremlin has freed Legion, a Phantom who just wants to destroy anything beautiful, and it doesn't matter if he or she is a Gate or not. Can Haruto and Kousuke stop this Phantom with his rampage?

The first thing I noticed is that Gremlin is starting to make his move. Aside from releasing Legion out in the wild, we learned that his actions in the past have something to do with his objective. This certain objective is still unknown to us viewers, but the only thing we know is that Wiseman knows what Gremlin is asking. This is why he tends to backstab Wiseman from time to time. Because of his actions, it attracted Wiseman's attention and later in the episode, he finally meets him so that he can ask him something.

The first meeting between Gremlin and Wiseman is really weird. Wiseman just chains Gremlin as he plans to destroy the Phantom who dared to defy him. But before he can destroy Gremlin, he starts asking questions, but one thing that there is one question that strikes Wiseman the most, what is the Philosopher's Stone. Before comments about Harry Potter or Fullmetal Alchemist, the concept of the Philosopher's Stone is one of the principal goals of alchemy since the day it was first establish. Thinking about it, maybe Wiseman has the idea to create this stone considering that he coughed up one magic stone out of his body. Based on Wiseman's reaction, I can simply assume that the Philosopher's Stone will make one great impact in the story.

As for Legion, he is one strong Phantom as he can put non-Gates into comatose because of his search for beauty. Thanks to this search, he ends up fighting the wizards at one point. I just like that he has no idea about wizards, making his initial meeting with Beast more fun. But what makes his meeting Beast really entertaining is how he finds Beast's feral fight style. To sum it up, he finds it not beautiful, losing his interest to fight Beast.

When Legion finally meets Wizard, he finds Wizard beautiful because of his dedication to protect others. Thus, he ends up ripping his body, creating a crack that leads him to his Underworld. To put it simply, this Phantom is so damn strong that he can just enter someone's Underworld without putting the victim into despair. No wonder Wiseman still keeps him alive even though he just loves to attack non-Gates that he find beautiful.

Inside Haruto's Underworld, he starts ripping it into pieces. Thankfully, Beast inserted an Engage Ring in his finger to fight the Phantom inside his Underworld. The fight inside Haruto's Underworld is one CGI fest, and I really love it. The CGI looks really convincing, making this fight in the Underworld look more intense. But the biggest surprise is how Legion easily ripped Haruto's WizarDragon into smithereens, destroying his belt and likely in the process, caused the end of his magic. With Haruto losing his magic, can he still fight Legion and the other Phantoms?

Also, one thing I missed. Koyomi is starting to depend more on Haruto's mana as she finds Haruto's initial supply of mana to her body not enough. I am not sure how this will pan out in later episodes, but it can only mean one thing, the series will finally leave its boring state and have darker and deeper storylines. Another thing is that I can't help but notice that they are starting to put much more emphasis of this show's concept of mana, as this concept starts to become more consistent.
