JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 24 – The JoJo Connection

Lisa Lisa's life is literally hanging on the line thanks to Cars. Joseph makes a gamble that he can save Lisa Lisa's life with just one trick. What is this trick? Later, we learned more about Lisa Lisa's past and how she ended up becoming Joseph's mother.

Joseph's gamble to save Lisa Lisa is one of the strongest points in this episode. It is yet again, another time in Joseph's life that he pushed his mind to the limits. Granted, he is a born trickster but sometimes, tricksters need to gamble just for them to execute some trick that has a low success rate. That's what happened to Joseph. His gamble that Cars will cut the rope so that the trick he made to save Lisa Lisa will work takes a lot of guts and courage for it to work.

But I guess the best part about it is how Cars fell for it; his realization that Joseph is slowly working on his trick while he is distracted by Joseph burning his scarf and explaining that he can save Lisa Lisa with just one trick. Now that Lisa Lisa is safe, it is time for Joseph to deliver one strong Ripple punch, causing Cars' body to slowly disintegrate and fall from the structure were they are standing. To make it worse for Cars, he is stabbed by the crystals and that the Germans are preparing one giant UV light, so that they can finally destroy this Pillar Man!

Now that we are done with that one, it is time to talk about Lisa Lisa's past and learn why she is a Joestar. We learned that her real time is Elizabeth Joestar and is married to George Joestar, Jonathan's son. What's interesting about this flashback is how they fleshed out the original narration made by Speedwagon and add some new visuals not seen in the original manga. When I first read this story in the manga, I was bothered if George and Elizabeth are step siblings, watching this scene clarified my doubt about their true relationship. To put it simply, Erina didn't adopt Elizabeth as she stayed with Straits for most of the time.

Now that we are done with this love story stuff, it is time to talk how George Joestar died. He was killed by his superior who happens to be one of the zombies created by Dio. If there is one thing that I am bothered about it is that how the heck a zombie ended up in the ranks of the Royal British Air Force? But whatever means he uses to enter the Royal British Air Force, one thing is for sure, George is aware that his superior is a zombie who killed people and he must be stopped. Problem is, before he can stop him, he was killed by the zombie because he doesn't have any Ripple training, even if he has the potential to use the Ripple.

This is when Lisa Lisa comes in; she decides to avenge her dead husband after learning the truth behind his death. The scene wherein Lisa Lisa barges in just to kill the zombie in cold blood without caring about her surroundings is one amazing sight to see. It's straight forward and it doesn't need any dialogue to deliver the strong message of revenge. Lisa Lisa's face is enough to tell us what she wants. And thus, she ended up becoming a fugitive because of one soldier witnessing it, thinking that she killed an honest man working for the Royal Air Force.

With the help of the Speedwagon Foundation, data about Elizabeth Joestar is removed in the face of the Earth, and what's left to her is the identity of Lisa Lisa, an Italian Ripple Master who is living in Air Supplena Island. What's sad about it is that she didn't have the chance to bid farewell to his only child. To make it worse, Erina doesn't want Joseph to learn that her mother is still alive. Her reason behind it is understandable; she doesn't want her only grandchild to get involved with the Stone Mask or the Ripple.

Back to the present, Joseph just happened to save his own mother, but the truth about how Lisa Lisa is related to Joseph is something to be discussed within the Joestar clan. It's their problem. But before they can resolve this issue, there is still one problem left. Cars had a chance to wear the Stone Mask with the Red Stone of Aja attached in it. To make matters worse, Stroheim's squad just hit the switch of their giant UV flashlight! This event caused the birth of the Ultimate Being known as Cars! Can they stop this Ultimate Being? Or will he be unstoppable?
