Kamen Rider Wizard 33 – What Money Can't Buy

Just as I thought, this is not the end of the Phantom's attack. As it turns out, the Bogy Phantom has the ability to control someone's luck! With that in mind, the six Gates from the previous episode are enjoying a nice streak of luck and that includes Kousuke's friend!

For a comedy filler arc, I can't believe that it has a lot of heart and that the writer knows how to use Wizard's set of rings better than the head writer! Let's go first why this episode has a lot of heart, this is about the friendship between Kousuke and his best friend and how money tested it. During the time his friend is not that rich, Kousuke's been there. Then this streak of luck happened, but after learning that this is the fault of the Phantom, Kousuke becomes concerned about his friend's welfare. Instead of thinking that his friend is concerned about his life, he thinks that he is jealous and hired some goons!

Even if that is the case and after he was beaten up by his friend's goons, he continues to be concerned to his friend. Then his friend's luck ran out. His goons abandoned him thanks to a possible gas explosion, but Kousuke arrived just in time to save him. He finally removed the Phantom out of his friend's back and starts fighting him. This is what I mean by "heart" in this episode, through thick and thin, and even if Kousuke's friend betrays him, he still thinks that they are still the best of friends. But before talking about the fight, let's talk about how the heck a Phantom is on his friend's back.

As it turns out, it's part of Bogey's abilities. Once he is destroyed, he can haunt someone and give him a good streak of luck and once he thinks the victim is too lucky, he will give him a streak of misfortune. That's the plan to put six Gates to despair. The plan is really interesting but my main problem with it is how is Gremlin so sure that the ones who became the Phantom's victims will fall to despair once they receive a streak of luck then a streak of misfortune? I mean, let's take a look on Kousuke's friend as an example; he almost died in a car accident! How can that make someone fall to despair if the Gate is died at the end?

This is when the part of the episode wherein the writer of the episode becomes creative when it comes to the use of Wizard's rings. For starters, Haruto used the least used rings in the series, like Light and Smell just to force the Phantom out. But the most creative thing that the writer did with Wizard's arsenal is the use of the Drago Timer to create Wizard clones who will fight each Bogy clone! Some might say that he can just use Copy but the thing with Copy is that it can only create clones that will copy what the main Wizard is doing. With the Drago Timer clones, each Wizard has their own mind. Considering that Wizard now has a bigger supply of mana in his body thanks to Infinity, I guess these clones will last more than the time set for the Drago Timer.

This is when things gets interesting, as each Wizard fights each Bogy Phantom, they went to a terrible streak of bad luck. Those fight scenes are so entertaining because we don't know what kind of luck each Wizard will face. But all of them have a single problem, how to finish the Bogy Phantom. The problem is that they can't reach the Kick Strike Ring! At the end, all four Wizards just rip the place where they place the rings and scan the Kick Strike Ring! The visuals for the four Wizards doing their own version of their Rider Kick are really amazing.

Finally, how Kousuke defeated his own Bogy Phantom. Comparing it to the Wizards who have a really bad streak of luck while facing their own Bogy Phantom, Beast didn't have a streak of bad luck or something. He just fights Bogy without any problems... well sort of. Again, his luck when it comes to rolling the Dice Saber is so bad that I am sure that Bogy has nothing to do with it. Even if that is the case, he managed to turn the single Falco summoned into one big bird, something we didn't see him do in previous episodes. At the end, he defeated the Phantom in Beast Hyper form. The episode ends and Kousuke's best friend once again, learned the value of friendship and that money can't buy it.
