New Kamen Rider Gaim Form Coming this February

A new Kamen Rider Gaim form is hinted to appear in February 2014 as seen in the latest magazine scans for the show.

The only clue we have for this new form is that Gaim will use a Sonic Arrow in this form. It was previously reported that the Sengoku Driver and the Genesis Driver can combine to form a unique belt.

Kamen Rider Gaim 07 – The Durian Domination

Also, the debut of this form.

Oren's transformed Armored Rider form now has a name, his name is Armored Rider Bravo and since then, he is dominating every single Inves game he is in. Meanwhile, Takatora discovered that the Watermelon Lock Seed is missing and asks his associates its possible whereabouts.

The episode continues Bravo's first fight from the previous episode. His debut fight also gave us a better idea on the personalities of the Nut Riders. Gridon runs away if he is in a disadvantage while Kurokage still continues to fight even though he is badly beaten. Funny, Gridon's Rider call has something to do with not giving up while Kurokage's call has something to do with striking in the shadows. Back to Bravo, his fighting style is elegant and brutal, elegant the way he flails his swords and brutal because he shows no mercy to his enemies.

After his first battle, he starts to dominate every single Inves game around and starts challenging other teams and that includes Team Baron. But that's not we are talking first; let's first talk about Takatora's reaction in this situation. To sum it up, he didn't like it. His reaction doesn't make sense, I mean they are gathering data and having an experienced soldier join the roster of lab rats makes a lot of sense compared to a bunch of random street kids dancing around in their free time if they are not busy playing pocket dimension monsters with other teams. His reaction made me wonder why the belts should be handed over to kids and not to some trained soldiers.

Speaking of belt handling, Sid is there to witness it, what's more is that DJ Sagara, the guy who likes to scream in front of the camera and hype the crowd about the Inves games turns out to be involved in this! Sid's involvement is something I already expected. But DJ Sagara's involvement is something I did not expect to see. I mean, he is a really cool guy and it seems like he is just there to cover the turf war between the dance crews for the masses to enjoy. But nope, he is working for Yggdrasill.

When you think about it, it makes a lot of sense in the grand scheme of things. I mean, since day 1 he has the orange and banana Lock Seeds, high level Lock Seeds that are hard to obtain unless you have a lot of money… considering the fact that his job kinda feels like something that will earn you a minimum wage, I wonder how he can manage to grab a lot of Lock Seeds with that kind of pay. What's more is that his actions feels like he is encouraging more kids to have Inves battles now that these battles are part of the scoring system in the turf wars.

Another detail that I failed to notice is that Sid is distributing the Locks and Sagara is promoting it, and Sid is the only guy distributing the Locks, it can only mean one thing, they've been working together for quite a long time now. Dang it, this episode made me realize a lot of things I failed to notice earlier in the series! Back to the episode, I just love that Sid and Sagara just pointed out that Takatora failed when it comes to protecting the Watermelon Lock Seed, its fun to see him fail for once.

Now back to Bravo, as expected, he defeated Baron and unlike his fight with Kurokage, he decides to return Baron's Lock Seed back because he sees his potential as a warrior. This act, in Kaito's mind is an act of mercy because he is weak and he doesn't like it. Now it makes me wonder what will happen next now that he feels total humiliation after getting backstabbed by his supposed associates last episode and his defeat this episode. Kaito is one interesting character when it comes to personality and I hope that his experience will help him grow as a person.

After defeating Baron, it's now time for Bravo to defeat Team Gaim! His fight with Team Gaim is really fun to watch, what's fun about it aside from his ignorance with how to control an Inves; he is one entertaining fighter to watch since he likes to make his moves look really graceful and the same time, look really painful. The best part of his fight with Team Gaim is him summoning a bunch of Inves without knowing how to control them. His ignorance with the situation is really adorable and showed us that he is not familiar with the mess he is in right now, making this anomaly more entertaining than usual.

To stop the threat of an Inves army terrorizing the city, Ryugen gave Gaim the Watermelon Lock Seed, which he acquired from his brother in secret. Now I am more disappointed with Ryugen, first he gives the Strawberry Lock Seed, now this? I am now starting to wonder if he is really fighting to impress a chick or to impress Kouta. Watermelon Arms' debut appearance is seriously ridiculous… aside from the fact that a giant watermelon falls from the sky and Gaim tries to lift it. The scene looks ridiculous, which made the form's debut more charming.

As for the form itself, the CGI for the giant watermelon looks really great, same goes with Gaim's new mecha watermelon armor. The mix of CGI and traditional effects gave me an impression that Bravo is really fighting a giant mecha watermelon armor and not something that is created via CGI. Speaking of CGI, the monster CGI is still impressive, but there are times that the shading of the CGI models did not match with the current background of the scene. I know, it's a tiny nitpick but some CGI scenes in this episode are well shaded!

At the end, Gaim and Ryugen defeated all rampaging Inves monsters, they are now at the top of the team rankings and what's more important, Bravo loses for the first time. But hey, he is still alive and someday, he will have his revenge... that is until he is done with his baking duties!

Kamen Rider Gaim 06 – The Crumbling Alliance

And the plot thickens.

The Baron alliance is becoming shaky thanks to Hase and Jounichi betraying Kaito, didn't help that Red Hot left the alliance later in the episode. As for Team Gaim, they are now tied in the first place but what's this, a new challenger appears?! Who is this new Armored Rider? What is his reason on joining this turf war?

This show is getting better and better each week, aside from Baron's alliance crumbling just days after it was first formed, Kurokage and Gridon's debut battle is really well done. It's so good that they manage to defeat Baron in their first attempt... which makes sense since Baron didn't see their betrayal coming. With a weakened Kaito, it's quite a surprise that Gaim decided to help Kaito in this crisis, I mean, they are rivals and all. But this scene showed us one thing, Gaim advocates fair play and he doesn't want someone who is defenseless to beaten by guys wearing nut-based armor.

To put it simply, he fights the Nut Riders and its one good fight scene. Anyway, the Nut Riders retreat and Team Gaim is now tied with Team Baron when it comes to the rankings. So what's next for Team Gaim? Obviously, Kouta starts looking for the job and he will occasionally drop by just in case Micchy needs some assistance. Speaking of which, Kouta's job hunting in this episode didn't end up nicely. Meet Pierre, the owner of a popular cake store and it seems that he doesn't like Kouta because he is an Aquarius. What's weird about this guy is that he is basically a walking French stereotype character in his first appearance and he is one fun French stereotype character. In short, I like this guy.

As for Sid, it seems that it is time to give the final Sengoku Driver and what do you know, that guy who left the Baron alliance now has it! I guess the battlefield is now more interesting since it feels like everyone is targeting on Team Baron. To make things more interesting, Micchy seems to have an idea about his brother's work because he caught a glimpse of his Sengoku Driver and his Lock Seeds, didn't help that he grab one from his briefcase. I am not sure why he decided to take that Lock Seed, but to be honest; it feels right in his character. I mean, he is kinda like the cute kid with a dark side, so I guess that works.

Another thing that I find interesting is Pierre's background, aside that he is a French citizen, it seems that he is a soldier and he is not amused with the Armored Rider battles. This then we learned that he has the belt acquired by that Red Hot guy earlier in the episode. With that in mind, I guess he managed to get a hold of that belt because that guy left it by accident, or he just beat the guy just to get it.

Before talking about how he acquired the belt, what happened to the Nut Riders? Much to my surprise, these two still need to train their teamwork. I mean, their teamwork is okay and it needs some polishing, but their method of training doesn't feel like it is about teamwork, but how to make Kurokage look awesome in battle while Gridon hear will be flailing around with his tiny hammer and gets all the shots for Kurokage. It's a sad sight and entertaining sight to see. And it didn't help that you will feel pity on Gridon because it feels like he is forced in this situation. Which makes me wonder, if he is part in the show's opening prologue, how the heck he managed to survive this?!

Anyway, it is time for Pierre's debut as an Armored Rider! His debut as the new Armored Rider based on the durian is really amazing. What's great about Pierre in battle aside that he easily defeated the Nut Riders is his attitude in battle, he fights for the audience's entertainment and I really like it. It makes this turf war more diverse because he is just there to fight and I really like it. Now I wonder how they will expand it in later episodes.

Kamen Rider Gaim: The Energy Riders, Gaim Goes Banana

New images for Kamen Rider Gaim has surfaced online, which revealed better images of the Energy Riders, two Riders teaming up and a Kurokage Army?!

Unlike the Sengoku Driver, the Genesis Driver's main gimmick has something to do with "juicing" the Lock Seed. As seen in the scan above is Takatora Kureshima transforming into Shin Zangetsu using his new Genesis Driver.

But he is not the only Energy Rider that we will meet next month! As revealed a few days ago, Ryoma Sengoku uses the Lemon Energy Lock Seed to become Kamen Rider Duke and Yoko Minato uses the Peach Energy Lock Seed to become Kamen Rider Marika.

As for the user of the new Cherry Energy Lock Seed, sadly he will not make his debut next month. It is also revealed that the four Energy Riders will use a weapon called Sonic Arrow. You can see Marika swinging her Sonic Arrow to fight Gridon and Duke shoots Ryugen.

Because of Bravo's strength, Gaim and Baron team up to face him! What's more, Baron lends Gaim his Banana Lock Seed, causing Gaim to transform into Kamen Rider Gaim Banana Arms! How long will this alliance last?

Last but not the least is that the Sengoku Drivers will be mass-produced, which lead to the creation of Yggdrasill's Kurokage Army security team. This development makes me wonder, what happened to Hase aka the first Kurokage?

Kamen Rider Gaim: A Better Look on the Genesis Driver's Functions

New Kamen Rider Gaim toy scans has surfaced online, which features more of the Genesis Driver and how it is compatible with the Sengoku Driver and more pictures of the Energy Riders!

As seen in the scan, the DX Genesis Driver can change color depending on what Lock Seed you decide to "juice" out. for example, if you juice the Peach Energy Lock Seed, the container at the bottom of the Lock Seed will become pink. Same goes with Lemon, Melon and Cherry Energy Lock Seeds.

Next scans has something to do with the Sengoku Driver and its compatibility with the Genesis Driver. As you can see here, you can connect the Genesis Driver with the Sengoku Driver by removing the face plate found at the right side of the Sengoku Driver. Found below is a better demonstration on how it is done.

As you can see from the scan above, the Genesis Driver slot can slide out from the main driver. While we are at it, remove the face plate found on the right side of the Sengoku Driver and connect the Genesis Driver slot. Once you are done doing it, you can now attach two Lock Seeds in one belt!

And lastly, here are some better shots of the Energy Riders, namely Kamen Riders Duke, Shin Zangetsu and Sigurd. As you have notice, the Energy Riders have their emblems emblazoned on their armor.

[Special thanks to fran for the info and the images!]
