The official Attack on Titan anime website announced that the first copies of the 3rd and 6th Blu-ray volumes will include bonus visual novel games. The games will feature spin-off stories featuring Mikasa, Levi, Erwin, and other characters.
Series creator Hajime Isayama is supervising the visual novels with and the developer Nitroplus is collaborating on their production with Production I.G. Nitroplus illustrator Namaniku ATK is designing the characters. In addition, Jin Haganeya (Guilty Crown) is also contributing.
Gan Saaku (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet) is penning the Eren and Levi scenarios while Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) is penning the Mikasa and Annie scenarios.
The 3rd Blu-ray volume will include Seko's Lost in the Cruel World (Mikasa's story) and Saaku's A Choice With No Regrets: Preview (Levi and Erwin's past). This volume will be released this September 18.
The 6th Blu-ray volume will include Saaku's A Choice With No Regrets and Haganeya's currently untitled visual novel about Eren and Levi, and Seko's Wall Sina, Goodbye (Annie's story). This volume will be released this December 18.
These visual novels can be played on the PlayStation 3, as well as on standard Blu-ray recorders and players. Lastly, plans for an English language release of these visual novels are still unknown as of this writing.
