Capcom announced that Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist has started filming with principal photography started last July 14th. Assassin's Fist is the live-action TV adaptation of the popular Street Fighter video game franchise.
The project previously had a Kickstarter campaign last April, which only gathered a total of £16,180, at least 1/10th of the original aim to gather the remaining 1/3 of the funds for the project.
Capcom promises that the series will "redefine what audiences can expect from live-action video game adaptations". The series stars Mike Moh (Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight) as Ryu and will feature a mixture of up-and-coming and veteran Japanese actors who will prominent roles in the series.
The script will be bi-lingual and is written by Joey Ansah (Bourne Ultimatum) and Christian Howard. Joey Ansah will direct the series who will also play Akuma in the show.
