Area 5's Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Documentary

The official Street Fighter YouTube channel posted a Street Fighter documentary produced by Area 5 as part of the franchise's 25th anniversary. The documentary features interviews from key people involved with the franchise.

Tekken X Street Fighter Game is Still in Development

With the lack of news for Tekken X Street Fighter, fans are wondering if the said game is still in development. In a recent interview with Siliconera, Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that the game is still in development.

The reason for the lack of updates about the game's status is because Street Fighter X Tekken is that the game is still being updated and that the game is starting to have its own growing community. Harada wanted to take care and grow this community rather than "throw out our title right away while those people are still interested in [Street Fighter X Tekken] we are looking for the right time because we are still developing [Tekken X Street Fighter]."

The upcoming Tekken X Street Fighter game will use Tekken's Limb system which has buttons for every limb of the body. Since the game is more Tekken-like, Ryu will have more close combat moves but will still retain his trademark energy blasts.

Because the game is still a work in progress, more details about its gameplay will be released once the roster has been decided.

Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Filming Begins

Capcom announced that Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist has started filming with principal photography started last July 14th. Assassin's Fist is the live-action TV adaptation of the popular Street Fighter video game franchise.

The project previously had a Kickstarter campaign last April, which only gathered a total of £16,180, at least 1/10th of the original aim to gather the remaining 1/3 of the funds for the project.

Capcom promises that the series will "redefine what audiences can expect from live-action video game adaptations". The series stars Mike Moh (Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight) as Ryu and will feature a mixture of up-and-coming and veteran Japanese actors who will prominent roles in the series.

The script will be bi-lingual and is written by Joey Ansah (Bourne Ultimatum) and Christian Howard. Joey Ansah will direct the series who will also play Akuma in the show.

Ultra Street Fighter IV 2nd ULTRA Special Trailer

Here's the latest trailer of Ultra Street Fighter IV, which puts more emphasis of the competitive nature of the game to its fans. The game also features the Japanese voice acting of the four new characters introduced in the game.

The new characters are: Hugo, Poison, Rolento and Elena. The fifth character is still kept secret but there are clues given to those fans who want to guess who is this new character.


The new version of the game will features new stages namely, Pitstop 109, Mad Gear Hideout, Cosmic Elevator, Blast Furnace, Half Pipe, and Jurassic Era Research Facility and brand new modes and features. Lastly, the game had an extensive balance changes based on fan feedback.

Ultra Street Fighter IV will be available as a $15 upgrade or as a standalone game for $40 for PC, PS3 and the Xbox 360.

Ultra Street Fighter IV's Secret Fifth Character Clues Revealed

Siliconera asked Capcom senior product manager Matt Dahlgren about the fifth character in the Ultra Street Fighter IV, which gave the group a new clue about this new character. Here's the rundown of recent clues:

1. It is a Capcom character.
2. It isn't Asura or Bad Box Art Mega Man.
3. Ultra Street Fighter IV will mark this character's fighting game debut.
4. It is a character that isn't on anyone’s radar.
5. The character will be a perfect fit for the Street Fighter universe.

They also asked how the ones who owned the previous Super Street Fighter IV and just download the upgrade to work. They confirmed that upgrading to Ultra will also get you all of the content from Arcade Edition.

Ultra Street Fighter IV Game Trailer, New Info Revealed

The first trailer of the updated version of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition called "Ultra Street Fighter IV" was posted by Capcom recently. The new game features five new characters.

These characters are: Hugo, Poison, Rolento and Elena. Hugo, Poison and Rolento are Final Fight characters who made appearances in a couple of Street Fighter related games. The fifth and final character will be revealed in later weeks.

Actor Mike Moh Attached to Play Ryu in Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist

The official Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist YouTube channel posted a video featuring actor Mike Moh (Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight), revealing that he is attached to play Ryu in the upcoming live-action TV and online series adaptation of Capcom's popular fighting game franchise.

In addition, Moh also campaigned the show's Kickstarter campaign, and its aim is to raise the remaining 1/3 of the series' funds.

Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist Live-Action Series Kickstarter Page Opened

A new Kickstarter page was opened to raise funds for the upcoming Street Fighter: Assasin's Fist live-action TV and online series. The series is planned for a 2013 release.

Joey Ansah (The Bourne Ultimatum), the director and one of the writers of this new series opened the page to fulfill his dream, and every fan's dream to create a live-action Street Fighter TV series that is close to the original video games.


Even if that is the case, 2/3's of the show's budget has been raised through traditional means. This is when the 1/3 comes in, it is time for the fans to contribute something so that they can officially start shooting the project. Fans who pledged for the project will receive rewards, ranging from on set items and even have a chance to have a cameo appearance in the series.

Mega Man x Street Fighter FREE Game Revealed

Capcom has just released the official trailer of Mega Man x Street Fighter, a free 8-bit game that is a true collaboration between Capcom and the fans!

Created and developed by Singapore native Seow Zong Hui aka Sonic with direction and support provided by Capcom, the game stars Mega Man as he enters eight original Street Fighter-themed levels and bosses.


In addition, in traditional Mega Man fashion, Mega Man can also earn the special moves of the defeated Street Fighter character as these characters will utilize individual strategies and special moves against Mega Man.

Street Fighter X Mega Man will be released as a FREE PC download game beginning on December 17, 2012 through Capcom-Unity.

Street Fighter Live Series in the Works

At San Diego Comic-Con 2012, Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono announced that a live-action series entitled “Street Fighter Assassin's Fist” is currently in the works.

The makers of the 2010 Street Fighter: Legacy short film will produce the new live-action series. The project was created by Joey Ansah, who was also responsible for Street Fighter: Legacy, with scripts co-written with Christian Howard, who starred in Legacy. The short film's producer Jacqueline Quella will also be producing the series.

Set in Japan, the series will explore the history of Ken and Ryu. The scripts for the series are completed, but filming on the series has not yet started. Content Media Corpo will distribut the title globally in 2013.

Street Fighter X Tekken PSVita Release Date Confirmed

Gamespot began streaming the third cinematic trailer for the upcoming PSVita release of cross over fighting game Street Fighter × Tekken. This continues from the game's first and second cinematic video.


Additional characters for the PlayStation Vita version include Elena, Guy, Cody, Sakura, Dudley, and Blanka for the Street Fighter roster; and, Alisa, Christie, Jack, Bryan, Lars, and Lei for the Tekken roster. This also includes Cole from Infamous, Megaman, Pacman, Toro and Kuro.

The supposed PSVita exclusives will become available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 players as a downloadable content starting July 31st.


The official CAPCOM Unity website also posted a two-minute English-language trailer featuring the character customizations, and Adhoc Fight Request Feature to battle nearby rivals.

The PSVita release of Street Fighter × Tekken will be slated this October 23rd. The game comes with download codes that will unlock 12 additional characters, bringing the roster total to 55. All save data for the Vita version will be transferable to the PS3 version, and cross-platform play is supported as well.

Street Fighter X Tekken Goes Mobile!

Following the footsteps of Street Fighter IV, the cross over fighting game Street Fighter × Tekken be also be heading to iOS! Street Fighter × Tekken Mobile will be available for iPhone 4 and 4S, iPad 2, and iPod Touch.



Available characters include Ryu, Chun-li, Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams. Similar to the upcoming PSVita release, Street Fighter × Tekken Mobile uses touchscreen controls closer to a gamepad.

Price and release date for Street Fighter × Tekken Mobile are yet to be announced.

New Street Fighter X Tekken PSVita Cinematic Trailers Posted

As Capcom announced their Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set, official CAPCOM Unity website began streaming the latest cinematic trailer for the upcoming PSVita release of cross over fighting game Street Fighter × Tekken.

The nine-minute video continues the story from the game's first cinematic video.


Here are also two additional videos that feature the new characters for this release: Bryan, Jack, Lars, Alisa, Guy, and Cody. The videos show various combos and team-ups that could be used within the game.
