Manga artist and anime director Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira) recently made an appearance in the ZIP! talk show to promote his latest anime film called Short Peace. During that time, he was asked if he will make an Akira 2.
He revealed, "Every time I submit a new project, it is refused in most cases. I know they have been expecting me to make Akira 2. But I won't do that. I really want to create something new.
