Attack on Titan author Hajime Isayama is received a death threat coming from a foreigner, which was posted on the comments section of his blog. In addition, more of said death threats are also scattered around in the comments section of his other blog posts.
Japanese fans speculates that the cause of these death threats is because of a character named Dot Pixis who resembled a Japanese general named Yoshifuru Akiyama. Isayama admitted in his blog post back in 2010 that Pixis was based on a military leader.
General Akiyama is said to commit war acts that have offended China and Korea until this day. Attack on Titan had a cult following in South Korea, which is said to be source of most of these death threats.
