Kirito and Yui finally reunited with Asuna but it is all interrupted thanks to the Fairy King Oberon or should I say, Sugou. Can Kirito finally save Asuna and end this nightmare once and for all?
The reunion scene is really emotional since it feels more like a family reunion and not a meeting of two lovers and their surrogate child. But it was then interrupted thanks to Oberon's new gravity spell, which is part of the next patch. Oberon appears and begins his torture to Kirito in two ways, the first way is via Asuna and the second way is the direct damage.
The first kind of torture is seriously sick, sick in a sense that I am disgusted with Oberon's actions. I mean, he is basically doing sexual harassment for crying out loud! The fact that he smells her hair and revealed that he actually uses his resources just to get Asuna's scent just to smell Asuna's character avatar in the game! It didn't help that he stripped Asuna's clothes, licks her tears and reacted to its taste! What made Oberon really creepy are his facial expressions as it sums up his overall character, he is just a creepy stalker who wants to sexually harass a girl that he likes and be an Alpha male.
The second kind of torture is basically Oberon abusing his admin privileges. Changing the settings of the pain absorber and torture him with it by stabbing his sword is seriously sick. To make things worse for Kirito, he is watching Oberon harassing Asuna in front of his eyes! I find it funny that at the end, Kirito decides to give up because he felt weak and powerless in front of a GM. It's funny in a sense that he defeated a GM and freed the players of SAO!
This is when Akihiko Kayaba's "ghost" appears in front of him and reminded him how he defeated him in SAO. Kayaba's "ghost" cleared up some things about how Kirito and Asuna lived at the end; it is because of their human will. I know, it sounds cheesy but it's the best explanation we have right now. But thanks to this, Kirito remembered some elements about ALO and how it is related to SAO. Thanks to this, Kirito used Kayaba's Heathcliff ID to out GM Oberon!
It's seriously fun seeing Kirito abuse his new found admin privileges by summoning the strongest weapon in the game and give it Oberon whose admin privileges are reduced to level 1! What's more, Kirito just slash the guy like he didn't care for crying out! To make it more worse for Oberon, Kirito just cut his hand and his body in half before finishing him off with a single stab attack. Finally, it is over and finally, Asuna logged out in the game. But before Kirito can log out, he meet Kayaba's "ghost" who gives him The Seed, a program that has something to do with the VRMMO world that Kirito like.
I am not sure what's running on Kayaba's mind that he entrusted The Seed to someone like Kirito but I find it seriously weird, weird in a sense that he gives his greatest creation to his biggest rival in SAO. At the end, Kirito logs out the game, thanked his sister and finally heads to Asuna. Next episode will be the final episode of the series, which is then followed by a series overall review.
