Kamen Rider BLACK 11 – Starving Mutants

Because of hungry Gorgom mutants, the three priests planned to create Gorgumes, a kind of fruit that the mutants like to eat. But first, they need to plant these spores on humans with the help of Bat Mutant. Can Kamen Rider BLACK stop Gorgom's production of Gorgumes?

If there is one thing that surprised me in this episode is the fact that monsters actually eat something that is not humans or animals but some strange fruit! I am not sure what went to the writers mind when they created the concept of monsters eating fruits but I because of this, it made the Gorgom mutants a bit unique compared to other tokusatsu monsters. As for how the Bat Mutant planted the spores, it is basically him dropping a large orb and drops it somewhere in the mountains. Add the movement of the wind and other factors, the rain will spread in the city.

To sum up what happened; Gorgom's plan succeeded and gathered these humans in one place so that they can harvest Gorgumes with ease. To put it simply, it is one of those Gorgom plans that succeeded. They were able to harvest enough fruit to last for three days. To put it simply, it is not enough to last for one year. But before they can harvest more fruit, Kotaro deducted their possible base of operations and to stop him is the Cactus Mutant. I am not sure why Gorgom went with the Cactus Mutant since Gorgumes needs to grow in a proper environment but what the heck, at least someone will fight BLACK!

The fight between BLACK and the Cactus Mutant is pure fun. Their first fight ended when Cactus Mutant's blood spilled somewhere. Because of this, his blood is one of the clues on the location of their base. This is when we saw one of BLACK's abilities, the Sensitive Ear. It's one great skill and does what it says. BLACK's hearing is so great that he was able to hear Bishium talking to someone. At the end, BLACK found the base and learned how to kill the Gorgumes plants. Before he can stop the other two priests in transporting the harvested Gorgumes, he is stopped by one of the priest before he leaves.

The final fight between BLACK and Cactus Mutant is quite intense. BLACK is again on one tough situation because he doesn't know how to defeat him. Thankfully, he remembered Katsumi advice about cactuses that watering them too much will kill them. All of a sudden, BLACK throws the Cactus Mutant in a nearby river. That scene surprised me a bit for the reason that earlier in the scene, we barely see any rivers around and all of a sudden; BLACK throws the mutant in some river that appeared out of nowhere! But what the heck, at least he gets the job done at the end!

Because BLACK foiled their plans and to save their recently harvested food supply and their current stock, they have no choice but to put 2/3 of their awakened mutants back to sleep. This decision is a wise one for a reason that what Gorgom will do these monsters for the long run, unless they decided to do a massive invasion with these monsters rampaging in the city! As for the victims, they are now back to normal. As for Katsumi, she misses Nobuhiko, her boyfriend after seeing the guy they saved hugged by his girlfriend. Which reminds me, what is Nobuhiko's current state?
