Kamen Rider Wizard 15 – A Bittersweet Ending

Also, we have this form.

Haruto knows that the Lizardman Phantom is Satoshi and that the real Gate is Chizuru. With that in mind, can Haruto protect Chizuru from Satoshi who wants to destroy Chizuru's hope?

After weeks of some episodes boring me in terms of plot, for once we have a plot that really caught my attention. What if you know someone who is actually a Phantom? Though they tried it with Rinko once but they never expanded it. In Chizuru's case, Haruto noticed that she has this special connection with Satoshi, the former Gate whose body is now a disguise of the Lizardman. This kind of relationship is something that interests me in this episode. I mean, what will happen if Chizuru discovers that the Phantom that they are fighting is actually Satoshi? What will be her reaction?

Chizuru's reaction is something that Haruto took note of after learning the current situation they are in right now. This is when we saw Haruto, as much as possible, stay close to Chizuru's side for most of the time and during the time when Satoshi transforms into the Lizardman; Haruto is there to cover Chizuru's eyes so that she will not learn the truth. I find this move a bit depressing; Chizuru deserves to know the truth about Satoshi! But considering the current situation, it is best for her not to know the truth for now.

The said truth is something that the Lizardman can't figure out in a sense that the truth about Satoshi's death might bring despair to Chizuru. Before Haruto faces the Lizardman, we finally got the official confirmation from Chizuru about her feelings for Satoshi. To put it simply, Haruto's actions of preventing Chizuru not to witness Satoshi's transformation into the Lizardman are not worthless after all. For Chizuru not to witness it again since it seems that she will meet him in the place where the last scene of the movie was filmed, Haruto put her to sleep.

Now comes the fight between Wizard and the Lizardman, all I can say is, it is really fun watching this fight. For once, we have a Phantom that prefers ramming a car on someone rather than shoot his opponents with needles and other projectile weapons. But the main highlight of this fight is Wizard's transformation to the Kamen Rider Wizard Water Dragon!

Kamen Rider Water Dragon looks really great design wise; this form having the WizarDragon tail is one neat touch to the form. In addition, I love the Blizzard Ring's ability and the finisher of the Wizard Water Dragon. Its looks really cool especially how it just glides on the ice before performing one strong tail whip on the frozen Lizardman! After this, Haruto decides to lie about Satoshi's fate, that he went to America to study film and at the same time, to hide from the Phantom. Again, it is unfair on Chizuru's part but it feels like she is stuck in the past hopelessly waiting for Satoshi's return.

Come to think of it, this is the first time the series did something like this. For most of the time, the moral on most episodes is to move on and face the future. For once, we have a character that is stuck in the past and uses this past to give her hope for the future. After watching the movie that they made years ago, Chizuru leaves, hopeful that someday, she can become a good actress.

Meanwhile, the Wiseman is now aware that the sapphire magic stone is now at the hands of the Wizard. Instead of being disappointed by it, he laughs like a maniac, like this is part of some great majestic plan. Come to think of it, he said that this stone will bring despair to someone and episodes ago, the WizarDragon warned Haruto that using his power might lead to his despair. Guess this kind of scenario will lead us to an episode featuring Haruto falling to despair then.
