Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U August Update

More updates for Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS/Wii U was revealed this month. First is that Luigi is once again, confirmed to be playable in the game. He first made his SSB appearance as a secret character in the first SSB game for the Nintendo 64.

Super Smash Bros. director/creator Masahiro Sakurai posted a new screenshot of the game last August 6th, revealing a new stage for the game. According to Siliconera, this is a stage based on the classic SNES & Nintendo 64 flight simulator game, Pilotwings.

Another game screenshot features Mega Man performing Ryu & Ken's trademark Shoryuken (Dragon Punch) move from the Street Fighter franchise. Mega Man's successor, Mega Man X can learn this secret move in Mega Man X2.

This move can also be seen as Mega Man performing the Mega Upper from the Marvel vs. Capcom games, which is one of his moves in the said game.

Lastly, Sakurai recently confirmed via Miiverse that the players have an option to make the black outlines thinner or make them completely disappear in the Nintendo 3DS version of the game after posting a new screenshot of the game featuring the Wii Fit Trainer & the Villager.

Super Smash Bros. for 3DS/Wii U is slated for a 2014 release.
