It was revealed in the Attack on Titan BD Vol. 2 that Satoshi Shiki (Daphne in the Brilliant Blue) will pen the new Attack on Titan manga spin-off called "Attack on Titan: Before the fall" with original light novel illustrator THORES Shibamoto (Trinity Blood) in-charge of the art.
The new manga spin-off is likely based on the Attack on Titan light novel spin-off of the same name, which is written by Ryo Suzukaze. The series takes plays prior to the start of the original manga, and tells us the origins of the 3D Maneauver Gear.
The series will premiere in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Sirius magazine's October issue on August 26.
