Aside from his original plans for a Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger adaptation called Hexagon, Amit Bhaumik (Power Rangers Wild Force) had a proposal for a Samurai Sentai Shinkenger adaptation but it wasn't used by the production team.
According to him, there are two proposed versions, his version and the version that we have, namely Power Rangers Samurai. Even if his proposal was not chosen, he occasionally help the team with Samurai. Anyway, here's a quick rundown on his version of Power Rangers Samurai.
The series is about an ancient conflict between two clans, the Ozawa and Ashura clans. The rivalry between the Red Ranger and "Juzo" is more dramatic, Bulk has a son who later becomes the Gold Ranger and based on his notes, it will feature a lot of original footage. The post also has the draft for the proposed first episode.
