RangerCrew had a chance to talk to a Bandai of America representative in this year's San Diego Comic Con in regards to the Power Rangers Super Megaforce Ranger Key toyline, which was seen in the event.
Compared to the Japanese version, the American Ranger Keys are smaller is because of its target audience (kids). They also want the keys to be more affordable for both kids and collectors hence the smaller size.
Springs are added in these keys for a show like functionality for the younger audience. The springs also help in regards to the balance of the smaller Ranger Keys. It is expected that the Ranger Key toyline will be released next year.
