Latest Live-Action Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) Movie Images Posted

Cinema Today posted new images for the upcoming live-action movie adaptation of the popular Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) manga/anime. The movie stars Hiro Mizushima (Kamen Rider Kabuto, BECK) and Ayame Gouriki (Gatchaman).

The new images feature the additional two original characters for the movie singer/former gravure idol Yuka (Orphen, Desert Punk) and model Mizuki Yamamoto (Kirishima, Bukatsu Yameru-tte yo). Yuka plays the role of Hanae Wakatsuki, Shiori's aunt and aids Shiori and her demon butler Sebastian Michaelis (Mizushima) in unraveling the film's mystery. Yamamoto will play the role of maid named Lin.

The movie takes place 130 years after the end of the original manga/anime series, to be more specific, in the year 2020 in an Asian city where Western and Asian cultures freely intermingle. Shiori Genpou (Gouriki) is a descendant of the prestigious aristocratic family Phantomhive. Since only males can take the reins of the family, Shiori dons male clothes and the name Kiyoharu to lead the massive Phantom Corporation.

The movie will be directed by Kentaro Otani (Nana) and Keiichi Sato (Tiger & Bunny). The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. early next year.
