Hiro Mizushima Stars in Live-Action Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) Movie

Cinema Today revealed that Hiro Mizushima (Kamen Rider Kabuto, BECK, Hana Kimi) will star in the live-action adaptation of the popular Black Butler (Kruoshitsuji) manga/anime!

This is his latest major acting role after he left acting 3 years ago. Producer Shinzo Matsuhashi, Mizushima was the only Japanese person right for the part and had first been approached for it over a year and a half ago.

He met with the actor many times with the understanding that if he wasn't available, there wouldn't be a movie. Finally his determination paid off and Mizushima accepted. The upcoming movie is set 130 years after the events of the original manga.

Filming for the movie begins in April. The movie will be directed by Kentaro Otani (Nana) and Keiichi Sato (Tiger & Bunny). The film will be distributed by Warner Bros. sometime in mid-2013.
