A boy named Hayato requested the help of Future Research to look for an alien because of his friend said that he met an alien. And since Sion is the only alien in the group, he takes the case. Meanwhile, some jewels, money and other precious items suddenly disappeared.
Sion is one of my favorite Timerangers and it's been a while since the series had an episode focused on this alien. What better way to make a Sion focused episode by making him look for an alien? This is when we meet a man who knows magic but if we just based on how he did his magic trick, maybe this is not a magic trick, but some ability that he can do. Sion is right in following him.
In the guy's hideout, Sion tested his abilities and confirmed that he is indeed an alien. One thing that I like about this scene is how enthusiastic Sion is in meeting an alien in the 20th century. It didn't help that he thought he is the only alien in this time period! As we all know, a sight of an alien in this era will cause massive hysteria and humans wanting to dissect this alien to know about anatomy. That is why it is no surprise that the alien just wants Sion out of his place since he doesn't know if Sion is an alien or not or one of those geeks who love looking for aliens in the sky.
Meanwhile, a crime involving disappearing items with value is reported on newspapers. As expected, Londarz is the primary suspect but Tac's data of the criminals locked in the old Londarz facility didn't have a data about a criminal who can do such a thing. If we considered the ability of the alien that Sion met, it is likely that he is the culprit. It is no surprise that Sion will go to the alien's place and yes, he confirmed that the alien is somewhat involved with the case of disappearing valuable objects.
To sum it up, the mastermind of the plan kinda looks like he is the type of guy that they can just beat up without breaking a sweat. That is why I am a bit surprised that he is bullying Sion's newfound alien "friend" to do some theft. Because he is sick of stealing stuff for him, the Londarz member named Geymark "promised" that this will be the last time he will steal or else his friend will be in danger. Considering that these guys like to lie a lot, Sion transforms into TimeGreen and attempts to arrest the Londarz member only for it to escape at the end.
Because Sion is determined to help a fellow alien, we learned the name of this alien. His name is Argo and he left his home planet that is currently on war. He ends up on Earth by accident where he met Hayato. What's funny about it is that Hayato didn't notice that the stranger that he met in the river is wearing some odd clothes and just give him something to eat. Oh well, maybe the kid thinks that he is some guy who attended some sci-fi convention who was beaten up by nerds who think that his costume is bad. But whatever, the kid didn't notice that there is something odd with what he is wearing!
The flashback also showed us how the two became good friends that at one point, Argo used his alien abilities to save Hayato. Unluckily, Geymark saw it and the rest is like what they say, is history. Sion's attempt to convince that he can help Argo only ends up with him rejecting his offer because he doesn't have the confidence that Sion can do it and just believed in Geymark's promise. Speaking of which, during one of the times the two friends are bonding, Geymark appears and kidnaps Hayato in a rather subtle way.
The next day, Argo proceeds to their plan only to be stopped by Sion. This is when Argo learned that both of them are the same. Both of them are aliens and survivors of a war that happened to their planet at the same time. The only difference is that Sion ended with scientist after he was send to Earth while as for Argo, he met a kid whom he became good friends with. But unlike Argo, Sion is a Timeranger and has friends whom he sort of disregarded after meeting Argo. At the end, they were able to convince Argo to help them with his problem with Geymark.
As expected, Argo delivered the merchandise and saw how he performs the delivery of the goods. This made me assess that he can do long transports if he wants to. But since he already met the Timerangers and it is expected that Geymark's promise is just one big lie, he delivered the fake one and the Timerangers arrived just in time to beat Geymark. Before talking about the fight in this episode, I can't help but notice that they updated Sion's CGI helmet wearing scene. Instead of seeing Sion's blue hair that is usually used in all of his transformation stock footages, his hair in the footage is dirty yellow green, the exact hair color he has in this episode.
Remember what I said that Geymark looks like he is some alien that can be easily beaten? I was wrong about it. For starters, Sion is electrocuted by him a couple of times and that the Timerangers barely stand up every time he whips his whip. Thankfully, Argo helps them by transporting the whip somewhere, giving the Timerangers a better advantage in battle. At the end, they beat Geymark and before they can freeze him, he enlarged himself.
Much to my surprise, they remembered TimeJet Gamma! I mean, for most of the time, it's either TimeRobo Alpha or TimeRobo Beta in battle and seeing this formation is a breath of fresh air of episodes featuring TimeRobo Beta. Though it mind sound like I hate TimeRobo Beta but nope, I love that formation, it's just that we barely see the TimeJet Gamma in action in this series. At the end, they finally put Geymark to cyrostasis, ending the giant battle.
The stolen goods are back to their original places and that Argo plans to return to his home world... or go to some other planet that doesn't have any war in it. But before he leaves our planet, he needs to show something to Hayato, a kid who believes in aliens. Fulfilling the kid's dream to see a UFO is one beautiful sight to see. Earlier in the episode, the other kids think that he is crazy thinking about aliens living in our time. Aside from the sight of a UFO, he gave his friend a special coin. It's one emotional sight to see and at the end, it made Sion realize that maybe, just maybe, he is not the only alien in this era.
