Because of almost killing a boy, Shouji and Kazu end up meeting the boy's sister who wants their names and address just in case something bad will happen to her brother again! Much to my surprise, the boy got himself in trouble as his soul is under the possession of the Key Jester! Can the Dairangers figure out the true culprit of this crime?
So how the heck Shouji and Kazu ended up almost killing a boy? As it turns out, the two decided to have a race to see who is faster, Shouji's motorcycle of Kazu's car? The scene is so childish that it hurts to see two adults racing their vehicles in a public road. Luckily, they were able to hit the brakes before they can kill a kid, causing them to meet the boy's older sister who is over protective about her brother. But it is not enough to protect her brother from the Key Jester.
The Key Jester's ability to grab spirits is really cool, especially the special effects used in the soul snatching scene. Seriously, it looks like he is grabbing someone's soul from someone's chest! Because the creature took the kid's soul, the kid's body is not moving and thinking that it is caused by some shock, he blames Shouji and Kazu for this! The shock angle didn't make any sense to be honest for one obvious reason: it made the kid look like he is slow in terms of picking up things. What made the kid's case more interesting is that there are other kids who are in the same state as he is. If there is one thing that I learned from watching too much tokasatsu, it can only mean one thing, this is Gorma's fault.
Much to my disappointment, Shouji and Kazu didn't figure it out after hearing the situation of the other kids. The only time they figure it out is when some car tried to run them down and to make it scarier, a doll is the one driving it! Even though this is something that Gorma obviously did, the Dairangers didn't believe them less Daigo. Daigo deciding to help Shouji and Kazu made me realize that he is not that stoic at all. For the past two episodes, I have this impression that he is the kind of guy that looks like he is unapproachable. This scene loosens up Daigo a bit as a character.
Because they don't have a clue where to start, they start with the girl Shouji and Kazu earlier in the episode. As expected, she is clueless since she still thinks that Shouji and Kazu are responsible to what happened to her brother. This is when Daigo comes in as he comforts the kid. Before he can give any advice to the girl whose parents are away from the business trip, Daigo heard a boy's scream and finally, spotted Key Jester stealing a kid's soul! And before they can reach the Key Jester, the dolls created by Key Jester attacked them! It's creepy seeing these dolls attack Daigo since that scene kinda look like it came straight out of some horror movie.
Lucky enough, Daigo and girl followed the car that leads them to Key Jester's hideout. This is when we learned that the dolls were created by the souls of the kids that the Key Jester grabbed! In a sense, Daigo is fighting the souls of the kids he is supposed to save! To make it creepier, these dolls only think of one thing: doing evil things is good. Wow, for a kid's super hero show made during the 90's this is seriously creepy.
The Key Jester saw them and Daigo fights the creature as Shishi Ranger! As expected, the fights in this episode are seriously fantastic... and it's just Shishi Ranger fighting in this episode! Daigo calls Master Kaku for some backup before they arrived in the scene; the three Gorma heads now want Daigo's head! Seeing Shishi Ranger being passed around by his enemies is one sad sight to see. It made Daigo one weak hero and to add up the injury, Key Jester abducted the girl! What's more, he got the girl's soul!
At the end, Daigo is powerless to save the girl. To make matters worse, Key Jester and the three Gorma heads leave before the four Dairangers arrived! But the question is where are Shouji and Kazu during the time they are needed since they are the ones related to the girl in the first place? As it turns out the two slack off a bit and Daigo is pissed about it. But the fact of the matter is that Shouji and Kazu were irresponsible to something they are forced to be responsible with. But the question is can Daigo save the kids from Key Jester?
