One Piece Film Z Gets Philippine Screening this May 1st!


SM Cinema in cooperation with Pioneer Films (also known as Movie Punch) announced via Facebook that will release One Piece Film Z here in the Philippines! The movie will air exclusively on SM Cinemas starting this May 1st.

The movie's plot is about the "Dyna Stone", a Marines' secret weapon that is comparable to the Ancient Weapons, has suddenly been stolen! Behind this is former Marine Admiral "Z", who now stands in the path of the Straw Hat Pirates.


One Piece Film Z is Toei's highest grossing movie as it topped the Japanese Box Office charts for four consecutive weeks, earning an estimate of 5,544,105,526 yen (about $62,867,135) during its four-week theatrical run. The movie previously aired on five Asian countries namely: Taiwan on January 25th, Singapore on February 1st, Hong Kong on February 14th, and followed by Thailand and Korea.

Movie Punch confirmed via the author's private Facebook account that One Piece Film Z will air in the Philippines in original Japanese audio with English subtitles.
