To celebrate Tsuburaya Productions' 50th anniversary, Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores and Parco will sell a special 50-cm tall "Ultraman Spacium Ray Premium Grade" figure at the Ultraman Thanks Festival in Spring, which will be held at their stores in Japan from March 13th to 26th.
The price for the figure is 535,000 yen (around US$ 5,533), making this the most expensive commercially available Ultraman figure to date. These made to order hand-made figures features a real sapphire stone for Ultraman's color timer found in his chest.
This figure is made for people in their 50s and 60s who grew up watching this show and now can spend money for their hobbies. Take note, only 50 of these figures are made so buy one now while supplies last!
