Kaoru Tada's unfinished shoujo manga series Itazura Na Kiss is getting a new drama adaptation! Tited "Itazura na Kiss ~Love in Tokyo", it stars Honoka Miki (Maria Watches Over Us, Kamen Rider OOO), Yuki Furukawa (High School Debut) and Yuki Yamada (Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, GTO 2012).
Itazura na Kiss is about a high school girl named Kotoko (Miki) who finally confesses her love for Naoki (Furukawa) but rejects her offhand. Fate intervenes when a mild earthquake ruins Kotoko's family house. While the house gets rebuilt, Kotoko and her dad stay at the home of her dad's childhood friend...whose son is Naoki. Yuki Yamada plays Naoki's love rival Kinnosuke Ikezawa.
The popular manga was adapted into a drama in Japan back in 1996, two drama titles in Taiwan under the name "It Started with a Kiss" in 2005 and 2007 and 2010 South Korean drama series.
Itazura na Kiss ~Love in Tokyo premieres this March 29 and will have a total of 16 episodes.
