North American distribution company New Video Group will be releasing “The Official Digimon Adventure Set: The Complete First Season” on DVD this October. It will include the anime's 54 episodes in an 8-DVD set.
The set will also include a 36-page guide booklet featuring the original seven characters plus photo galleries and behind-the-scenes sketches. Sadly, this release will only include English audio.
On August 1st, 1999, seven children from Japan are suddenly thrust into a strange dimension called the "Digital World" while they are at summer camp. Befriending seven other Digimon, the children start searching for a way home while learning the truth about the world they are in.
