Attack on Titan Spin-off Visual Novel Preview

The preview for the Attack on Titan visual novel called "A Choice With No Regrets", which is included in the 3rd Blu-ray volume has surfaced online. The preview reveals why Levi joined the Survey Corps.

The preview revealed the reason why Levi joined the Survey Corps is to kill Irvin! But for what reason why he will kill him? As we all know, the two eventually ended up becoming good friends.

The Attack on Titan Blu-ray Vol. 3 will be released on September 18th in Japan.

Fate/Zero Visual Novel Now Available in Japan

Fate/Zero has returned to its visual novel roots thanks to visual novel developed by Pocket for the iOS and Android! Fate/Zero is a prequel to Type-Moon's Fate/stay night visual novel.

Called "Fate/Zero: The Adventure", this game takes place 10 years prior to the events of Fate/stay night. In the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War, seven mages and seven Heroic Spirits fight for the Holy Grail, a mystical item that can grant any wish.

The main protagonist is a man named Kiritsugu Emiya, a notorious mage killer who has abandoned hopes of becoming a hero and saving humanity. The game will feature fully voiced scenes, original illustrations by ufotable and original scenarios for the game.

Fate/Zero: The Adventure costs 3,000 yen.

Living ADV Steins;Gate Stage Play Trailer

Here's the trailer of the upcoming Steins;Gate stage play called "Living ADV Steins;Gate". The upcoming stage production will be playing at Odaiba's Zepp Diver City from October 12 to 20 (a total of 13 shows).

Leading the cast is Prince of Tennis musical actor Daisuke Watanabe (Ultraman Mebius) as Rintaro Okabe, Idoling!!'s Erika Tonooka (Tetsudou Musume) as Kurisu Makise and Rina Koike (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon) as Mayuri Shiina. For more info about the cast, you can check this post.


The first six shows will each have a story that branches off into a different route, five of which are centered around one of the heroines. The following six shows will each cover a route voted on by subscribers of D-Mail, the production’s official e-mail newsletter.

The last show’s route will be voted during the actual show by audience members via cell phone. The evening show on October 12 and 16 will also feature a musical performance by Itou Kanako and Ayane, respectively.

Living ADV Steins;Gate will be written and directed by Daisuke Nishida and will be based on the popular visual novel/anime of the same name. The original series is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past.

As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.

The play will feature six stories not told in the original work. Recipients of the production's official email newsletter will help choose the stories. The play will also encourage active participation by the audience during the performance.

Attack on Titan Anime Blu-rays to Include Visual Novel Game

The official Attack on Titan anime website announced that the first copies of the 3rd and 6th Blu-ray volumes will include bonus visual novel games. The games will feature spin-off stories featuring Mikasa, Levi, Erwin, and other characters.

Series creator Hajime Isayama is supervising the visual novels with and the developer Nitroplus is collaborating on their production with Production I.G. Nitroplus illustrator Namaniku ATK is designing the characters. In addition, Jin Haganeya (Guilty Crown) is also contributing.

Gan Saaku (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet) is penning the Eren and Levi scenarios while Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) is penning the Mikasa and Annie scenarios.

The 3rd Blu-ray volume will include Seko's Lost in the Cruel World (Mikasa's story) and Saaku's A Choice With No Regrets: Preview (Levi and Erwin's past). This volume will be released this September 18.

The 6th Blu-ray volume will include Saaku's A Choice With No Regrets and Haganeya's currently untitled visual novel about Eren and Levi, and Seko's Wall Sina, Goodbye (Annie's story). This volume will be released this December 18.

These visual novels can be played on the PlayStation 3, as well as on standard Blu-ray recorders and players. Lastly, plans for an English language release of these visual novels are still unknown as of this writing.

Fate/Zero's Chogokin Armored Archer/Gilgamesh Figure Revealed

Aside from Saber, Fate/Zero's Archer-class Heroic Spirit, Gilgamesh will also have his own die-cast or Chogokin figure! This new figure was displayed in the Dengeki 20th Anniversary event last weekend.
