Hyde, one badass shopper.
Now that they can now communicate to Master Head, we learned that there are more Headders out there and we don't know the method on how they can be summoned. In addition, Hyde and Agri go shopping and end up getting involved with a Warstar case.
Hyde is one of my early favorite Goseigers because he is one calm blue hero. Pairing him up with Agri in this episode made Agri look like the dumb audience watching this series because he wonders what's with Hyde's attitude. For starters, we learned that Hyde is too concerned about the quality of the vegetables and meat that he shops. It didn't help that the way he shops reminds me a lot of how most concerned mothers shop! Seriously, the only thing that Hyde lacks in this scene is a wicker basket and a coin purse that most moms carry while they shop groceries!
Before they can finish their groceries, the MOTW attacks some citizen and saw how calm and calculated Hyde is in terms of his actions. It didn't help that Agri wonders why the heck he attacked his enemy during the time he thought he is least expect to attack! Hyde's reply caused me to laugh a bit. It is during this battle that we learned that the witness of the MOTW is its mouth and that the citizen, which was attacked by the MOTW, is an expert in terms of viruses. As it turns out, the Genius Virus that Nozomu talked about earlier, if left uncured can turn someone into a B.B.!
What's sad about it is that the parents who are not aware about the consequence want their children to get infected! I know their intentions of giving their child a great future is fine and all but why the heck have your kid get infected by some unknown virus? Thankfully, the scientist studied the virus and learned about its alien origins, making this plot an obvious Warstar plot. She already made a cure but the problem about this cure is that it only lasted for a few hours. To complete the cure, she needs a DNA sample of the MOTW. As seen earlier in the episode, this creature has one strong shell that even Agri's axe can't break it.
Things get a bit difficult when all of the students in Nozomu's school end up becoming B.B.s, causing Alata and the other two Goseigers unable to kill them. Adding this complication in the story can create a lot of interesting scenes in the episode, thankfully the Goseigers haven't killed any of the B.B.s that attacked them in this episode. It is all thanks to Nozomu being a useful kid sidekick as he tells the Goseigers about what happened to his classmates. To make matters worse, the scientist revealed that she already made a finished cure and she plans on distributing it soon!
What bothered me about this announcement is that she announced that she is done making the cure even though she mentioned earlier that she is not done with it. It can only mean two things: they are just bluffing to force the MOTW out or Hyde defeated the MOTW off screen. But whatever reason they made such an announcement, it attracted the attention of Agri who is busy making the kids turned B.B.s fall asleep.
Much to my surprise, the scientist that holds the brief case containing the "cure" is actually Hyde in disguise! We learned that aside from their ability to whip memories, they Seaicks also have the ability to disguise themselves as someone else. It's one useful skill and made me conclude that the Seaicks are more like the "support" type of angels in the Guardian Realm while the Skyicks and the Landicks are in charge with the offense. Now that Hyde was able to deal some damage thanks to his disguise, it is time to extract the MOTW's DNA.
One thing that I like about in this fight scene is that instead of doing a lot of random slashes like what they did earlier, what they did is to focus the attack in a single area until it cracks out. But that is not the main highlight about the fight scene; it is Hyde being a complete badass while fighting the MOTW. What made Hyde impressive in this scene is after Agri got injured thanks to the MOTW's attack; Hyde carried his axe only to discover its weight. It's no surprise considering that the Landicks are the rough and tumble ones.
Even if that is the case, he continues to drag it until he drew his bow gun and used his entire might to attack the MOTW. What's more, after he did the attack, the blowgun perfectly landed on his hand, making him shoot the opponent at point blank range. The scene is so badass and just like Agri; I just stare in awe. Now that they got a sample of the MOTWs blood for DNA analysis thanks to that risky yet badass move, it is time to finally finish the fight now that the other three Goseigers have arrived.
Since they are here, what happened to the kids turned B.B.s? They were rounded up in one corner until the cure made by the scientist is done. Their move is seriously smart because aside from the large walls that surround the army of B.B.s, the Skyicks also made some tornado on top of them in case someone attempts to escape via the sky. After continuously hitting the scar made by Hyde, they finished it off with a Gosei Buster then grow bigger.
What's interesting about the giant fight in this episode is that GoseiGreat's Dragon Sword is not working on the MOTW thanks to its hard body. To make matters worse, the MOTW stole the Dragon Sword! Seeing GoseiGreat getting beaten up by the sword that killed the MOTW's comrades is one odd, yet interesting sight to see. But thanks to Hyde's belief that they can make it, three new Headders that composed the Seaick Brothers manifested and later, summoned by Hyde! One thing that bothered me about it is that their first debut appearance feels rather too convenient. But what the heck, they need new toys, I mean, partner Headders to defeat an MOTW with some tough shell to crack!
The Seaick GoseiGreat formation looks great but I don't get it why this Header formation needs to be pirate-themed even though there are a lot of concepts related to the sea. But what the heck, the form looks a really cool with some awkward looking legs. Aside from the awkward looking legs, the formation also features one cool eye patch that acts like an analyzer to see the success rate of their attack. Because of that kind of equipment, I expect that this form will be seldom used throughout the series.
As for the finisher of this formation, it's just a series of shark-themed slashes, nothing that is worth talking about. At the end, the kids are finally cured and that Agri sees Hyde in a different manner now. Aside from being the calm and calculated one, Agri recognized that this guy has this gutsy side, that he is willing to get killed just to defeat the MOTW. The only thing that Agri hates about Hyde right now is his know-it-all attitude.
