Bakuman S3 10 – Cancellation & New Serialization

Poor guy.

As expected, Nanamine's manga is finally serialized and Kosugi feels like he didn't contribute a thing that resulted to its serialization. As for Hiramaru, he failed to get serialized. The question is can Hiramaru recover from this slump?

Hiramaru is obviously depressed on what happened since he thought that this will be the end of his love life! Even though Yoshida is just exaggerating some bits about Aoki rejecting him just to make him more depressed, it kinda looks like that he might end his life any time soon! It didn't help that Aoki didn't answer Hiramaru's call! After a few days of being depressed, Aoki wants Hiramaru to be her assistant! One thing that I like about this scene is Hiramaru's quick recovery after days of being depressed. It is so fun that from his gloomy mood, he suddenly becomes cheerful as Aoki's assistant.

Because there are two new serializations, two titles are canceled and one of those is Shiratori's Rabuta and Peace. One thing that I admire about Shiratori is that finally, he was able to make her mother recognize his love for manga and wants to continue in becoming a manga author! Here I was thinking that he might end up giving up after his first serialization but nope, he plans in making a new manga for serialization.

As for the rest of the characters in this episode, there are no improvements aside that Hattori knows Nanamine's methods, which leads to them talking about Nanamine. This scene showed us that Kosugi can actually edit, problem is Nanamine is just too stubborn to accept most of his contribution. So yeah, he is like Niizuma back in the earlier episodes of season 1. Brash, doesn't listen to his editor about making a storyboard and last but not the least, he doesn't listen to his editor since he thinks that he is a genius and his work doesn't need any editing. It didn't help that he is over confident with a work that he barely created.

Speaking of which, Ashirogi's begins planning how they can crush Nanamine with PCP's love confession arc. As for Nanamine, after admitting that there is something wrong with his art, he already has a planned counter measure to fix this up and to counter Ashirogi's offense. This counter attack is the rumored super assistant Nakai that we all miss after he left the series in the middle of the second season of the series! Much to my surprised, he gained a lot of weight after he returned to his hometown.
