NOVELS to Perform Tiger & Bunny: The Rising Opening Theme


The official Tiger & Bunny Twitter account announced that NOVELS will once again perform a theme for the Tiger & Bunny anime franchise.

The song entitled "Nemesis" will be used as the opening theme of the Tiger & Bunny the Move: The Rising, which will premiere in February 8, 2014.

In addition, an album featuring the songs Missing Link (Tiger & Bunny 2nd OP theme), Earth Diver (Tiger & Bunny: The Beginning OP theme) and Nemesis will be released on February 12, 2014.

Latest Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising- Trailer, Additional Cast Members Revealed


Here's the latest full trailer for Tiger & Bunny The Movie -The Rising-. The trailer features the movie's theme song "harmonized finale" by Unison Square Garden.

The trailer features three mysterious NEXT characters who attack Sternbild City. These NEXT are: Richard Max (voiced by Rikiya Koyama), Johnny Wong (Mugihito) and Kasha Graham (voiced by Nana Mizuki).


The trailer also features Apollon Media's new owner, the successful and charismatic Mark Schneider (voiced by Houchu Ohtsuka). In addition, the new hero named Golden Ryan (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) is Barnaby Brooks Jr.'s new partner in the movie.

The film will revolve around a mystery that happens on the day of the "Justice Day" festival that celebrates Sternbild's legendary goddess.

Original TV series scriptwriter Masafumi Nishida is again writing the screenplay and serving as story director, while Yoshitomo Yonetani is directing the film. The movie is set to premiere this February 8, 2014.

Cinema Today posted the latest teaser video for the upcoming Tiger & Bunny the Movie -The Rising-. The teaser features the new hero Ryan Goldsmith aka Golden Ryan (voiced by Yuichi Nakamura) and he is Barnaby Brooks Jr.'s new partner.


The film will revolve around a mystery that happens on the day of the "Justice Day" festival that celebrates Sternbild's legendary goddess.

Tiger & Bunny the Movie -The Rising- premieres this February 8, 2014.

Tiger & Bunny the Movie -The Rising- Teaser Trailer


The official website of the Tiger & Bunny anime franchise has just posted the teaser trailer for the upcoming Tiger & Bunny the Movie -The Rising-. The movie will be released on Autumn 2013.


The trailer teases "the final day of Sternbild City!?" and "the shocking fate of the hero combo!!" The cast of the original anime will reprise their role in this movie.

Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning BD/DVD Has English Subtitles!

The Blu-ray and DVD release of Tiger & Bunny the Movie: The Beginning will include both English and Japanese subtitles! Just like any other home video release, it will also come in different versions ranging in price. To make it extra special, all home video release editions are region free!

The Amazon.com Exclusive SteelBook Blu-ray edition will include three discs in a SteelBook illustrated by original character designer Masakazu Katsura for 9,765 yen (about US$120).

The limited-edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will come in a unique box illustrated by Katsura, and will include exclusive jacket art from character designer Kenji Hayama. Its extras disc will feature videos from the film's world premiere event, a "New Year's Gift Special" digest video, a digest video of an event in Hong Kong, and a "Road to Theater!" event digest video.

The limited editions will also include a CD with an audio drama and cast discussions, a mini edition of the program offered at the film's theatrical screenings, a booklet, audio commentary, and other video extras (teasers, trailers, commercials, promotional videos, theater etiquette video, Weekly Hero Countdown, clean opening and ending animation sequences).

The regular edition Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will come with a booklet, audio commentary, and promo video extras. Other retailers such as Family Mart, Animate, Tower Records, Tsutaya, and BVC will also be offering store-specific extras.

The home video release of the film goes on sale on February 22, 2013.

1/1 Scale Wild Tiger Head Display Revealed


The Premium Bandai store is taking pre-orders for a 1/1 scale Wild Tiger head from the Tiger & Bunny anime series.


This accurately detailed 1/1 Wild Tiger helmet stands 280mm tall and is made of hard ABS plastic and opens in half. The 1/1 Wild Tiger helmet costs 37,380 yen (US$470) and is set for a February 2013 release. In addition, there is a limit of three heads per customer.

The official website for the upcoming stage play based on the popular hero anime, “Tiger & Bunny THE LIVE” had updated with the images of the cast in their respective costumes!

So far, only available at the moment are out of hero suit costumes. Supporting cast and hero suits of other characters are yet to be revealed.

Anime and tokusatsu scriptwriter Yasuko Kobayashi (Shakugan no Shana, Trigun: Badlands Rumble, Kamen Rider Den-O, Shinkenger) and playwright Tadahiro Mōri are co-writing the play. Taisuke Morisaki is serving as chief director, while Morihito Kamizato is the actual hands-on director. Osamu Kaneda (Let's Go Kamen Riders, Den-O Final Countdown) is an "acting creator."

Tiger & Bunny the Live will run at Tokyo's Zepp Diver City theater from August 24th to September 1st. The play aims to have realistic action in hero "suits," an original story, and the latest techniques in theatrical productions.

Novels To Sing for 1st Tiger & Bunny Film
Japanese band Novels announced that their second single, to be entitled “Earth Diver,” will be used as the opening theme of the upcoming compilation film, “Tiger & Bunny THE MOVIE -The Beginning-.”

Their debut single “Missing Link,” was the second opening theme of the original Tiger & Bunny TV series. According to the band's frontman, Mao Takeuchi, the lyrics of their new song were written with Tiger & Bunny's Wild Tiger aka Kotetsu T. Kaburagi in mind, taking as its theme the idea of time.

“Tiger & Bunny THE MOVIE -The Beginning-” is a retelling of the TV anime, but not just cover the same story content as the previous television anime series, but also untold, behind-the-scenes stories. The movie opens this September 22nd.

Bandai began streaming the first 3-minute promotional video for the upcoming release of Tiger & Bunny anime-inspired PlayStation Portable game, “Tiger & Bunny On Air Jack!” It will be slated for September release.


The game will follow the storyline of the anime series, as you, as the lead character Kotetsu Kaburagi / Wild Tiger, strive to become the No.1 "King of Heroes," it will also include fully-voiced event cut-scenes based on the original animation footage.

1st Tiger & Bunny Film Full Trailer Posted

Latest Tiger & Bunny Film Trailer Includes New Scenes!

Morning television program Mezamashi Terebi presented some footage for the upcoming Tiger & Bunny hero anime's compilation and first film, “Tiger & Bunny THE MOVIE -The Beginning-.”

The footage includes some brand news scenes, and part of “Linear Blue o Kikinagara,” the new theme song by rock band Unison Square Garden, was heard for the first time.


Yū Kawanishi, a publicist for the film, stated that the action and battle scenes appeals the male audience, while the female audience watch for the relationship between Kotetsu and Barnaby.

Furthermore, producer Masayuki Ozaki revealed during the Tiger & Bunny panel at Anime Expo that a new NEXT character, designed by Masakazu Katsura, will appear in the first film.

To promote the new chibi-arts figures featuring the main characters of Tiger & Bunny hero anime series, Bandai Tamashii Nations began streaming a 2-minute promo. The video shows the various features of the figure.


Have fun while these two crack their 10mm funny antics trying to outdo each other in this short comedy. Expect more of these from the chibi-arts Tiger & Bunny series. The initial results of Tiger & Bunny hero anime's first film's "Weekly Hero Countdown" had been posted! It is a special poll where fans get to choose which hero will star in the finale of the film.

This week's top hero is Wild Tiger, the alter-ego of Kotetsu Kaburagi, a NEXT that can increase his physical abilities hundredfold for 5 minutes. Votes are still being accepted until July 31. The current rank are as follows:

  6. Fire Emblem

It has been announced that the upcoming Tiger & Bunny anime-inspired PlayStation Portable game, “Tiger & Bunny On Air Jack!” will be released this September 20th.

To become the No.1 "King of Heroes," Tiger & Bunny On Air Jack! will be a "TV show action" game wherein the player will control the lead character Kotetsu Kaburagi / Wild Tiger as he battles threats in various cases.

The game will follow the storyline of the anime series, and it will also include fully-voiced event cut-scenes based on the original animation footage.

Vote for the Tiger & Bunny Hero to Star in Film's Finale

The staff of the upcoming Tiger & Bunny hero anime's first film, “Tiger & Bunny THE MOVIE -The Beginning-” are holding the "Weekly Hero Countdown." It is a special poll where fans get to choose which hero will star in the finale of the film.

By using the serial number printed on each advance ticket, a fan can enter it into a site created for the campaign, and vote for his or her favorite hero.


The top candidate will be crowned "King of Movie Hero" and star for about three minutes in the film's last scenes. The rest of the top 5 will also appear in the last scenes, although the fifth place hero will only get about 15 seconds of fame.
