Tsuburaya 50th Anniversary Ultraman Exhibit Announced

As part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Tsuburaya Productions Co., a special exhibit devoted to Ultraman and other tokusatsu special effects will happen on December 12 to February 16!

This free exhibit located at the Broadcast Library in Yokohama will highlight the history of Tsuburaya Productions Co., the special effects studio best known for the live-action Ultraman franchise.

The exhibit will feature dioramas featuring scenes from various Ultraman episodes, props, screenplays, production items, as well as action figures from various iterations of the Ultra heroes. Visitors will also be able to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at how the studio creates its special effects sequences.

Animax Carnival 2013 Philippines Event, Now Cancelled

Animax announced that the Animax Carnival 2013 Philippines event is now cancelled. The said event is scheduled to be held in Manila on December 8, 2013.

The reason for the cancellation is that Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia, the company that owns and operates Animax made the decision out of respect for the devastating losses from Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).

The planned event is suppose to feature JPop artist May'n as a guest star in the event.

May'n to Perform in Animax Carnival 2013 Philippines

Animax announced that May'n will visit the Philippines to perform in Animax Carnival 2013! She is best known for performing anime theme songs for Accel World and Macross Frontier.

Aside from performing themes for anime, she also performed themes for the 2011 Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Fourze under the unit called "Astronauts". This will be the first time she will perform for the Filipino crowd.

Animax Carnival 2013 will happen this December 8, 2013 at the Trinoma Activity Center from 10AM to 7PM.

Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: LIVE & SHOW 2014 Announced

Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: LIVE & SHOW 2014 was announced recently and just like past LIVE & SHOW events, it features a talk show featuring the current Kamen Rider and Super Sentai cast members as well as a concert featuring various Kamen Rider & Super Sentai themes.

The ones performing in the event are: Anna Tsuchiya, Kamen Rider GIRLS, Rider Chips, NoB, Hideaki Takatori, Showgo Kamada, Psychic Lover, Iwasaki Takafumi, Takayoshi Tanimoto, Hideyuki Takahashi, Tsuyoshi Matsubara, Yukio Yamagata, Haruko Momoi and MoJo and Gaim no Kaze.

Info such as where this event will take place and the date this will happen is not yet announced.

Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: LIVE&SHOW 2013 Event Report by Aonami

Aonami from tumblr blogged her experience watching this year's Super Hero Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: LIVE & SHOW 2013 event held at the Tokyo International Forum. Here's a rundown on what transpired during the event.

Super Sentai Cast Talk

• Yuki Yamada (Joe Gibken/GokaiBlue) and Kazuki Shimizu (Don Dogoier/GokaiGreen) were guest stars in the cast talk.
• Ryuji is completely off character as he and Joe act like rock stars. The rest of the cast are worried about their sanity.
• Jin was asked by the MC about what he thinks about the current cast, he strikes a Kamen Rider Wizard transformation and replied, "Yeah I did have some Magic Show Time before, didn't I?" As for everybody else they replied, "Yellow Thunder!"
• Doc introduced the new movie that Ryota Ozawa (Captain Marvelous/GokaiRed), Junya Ikeda (Gai Ikari/GokaiSilver) and he are part of. Joe admits that he is the only Gokaiger guy not part of the movie.
• The cast talked about the Go-Busters vs. Gokaiger movie. There is a part at the end that Joe, Ryuji and Jin ad-libbed. Jin complains that no one recognized him in the trailer because he is wearing a mask and everyone wants to see Yoko in a traditional Japanese outfit.
• The cast talk ends with them leaving the stage and Joe telling the fans to "think of the Gokaigers sometimes!"

Super Sentai Live Performance

• Hiromu, Yoko and Ryuji sing their character songs with their respective Buddyroids. In addition, Yoko had to push Usada around during her part!
• Jin and J sing their character song.
• Hideaki Takatori performed "Boost Up! Beet Buster".
• Hideyuki Takahashi sings the two Go-Busters opening themes.
• Akira Kushida appears and performed the Space Sheriff Gavan theme.
• Tsuyoshi Matsubara performed the Gokaiger opening theme.
• All the artists and cast, including Joe and Doc returned to the stage to perform the Go-Busters ending theme.

Kamen Rider Cast Talk

• The MC have to prompt the Kamen Rider Wizard cast a lot more compared to the Go-Busters cast.
• The cast entered the stage and say their respective catchphrases. The cast that appeared on stage are: Haruto, Koyomi, Rinko, Kyosuke (Kamen Rider Beast), Shunpei, Medusa and Phoenix.
• The cast talked a bit about filming Movie Wars Ultimatum. Rinko and Shunpei revealed that they had some fight scenes in the movie.
• Koyomi talks about her close-up shot holding Eiji's underwear.
• Kyosuke is sad because he wasn't in the movie.
• The cast talk a bit about who they'd like to act if they had the chance. Shunpei wants to be Phoenix, Rinko wants to be Koyomi and Kyosuke also wants to be Koyomi.
• Koyomi wants to be everyone less Shunpei... she then said that she actually wants to be Rinko to get more action scenes.
• Medusa wants to be Shunpei. Phoenix wants to be one of the Phantoms that appeared in the show and Haruto wants to be Medusa.
• Haruto and Kyosuke performs their transformation poses. The staff plays the BGM but Haruto wants to do the BGM! Here's how it sounded, "Driver on. SHAKIIIIN! ShabadoobietouchSHUNPEI~ ShabadoobietouchSHUNPEI~" Shunpei then says,"CHINCHINPUIPUI!"
• The entire cast did the Kamen Rider Wizard transformation pose and no one got is right except for Haruto.

Kamen Rider Live Performances

• Demon Kakka performed "Forest of Rocks".
• Astronauts performed "Giant Step" and "Cosmic Mind".
• Kamen Rider GIRLS performed "Just the beginning" and "Saite".
• RIDER CHIPS performed "blessed wind", "BEASTBITE" and "ELEMENTS".
• Anna Tsuchiya performed "Voyagers" and "Switch On!". Fourze then appears... in suit.
• The cast and artists returned on stage to perform "Life is SHOW TiME". Shou Kiryuuin didn't appear to perform the theme.

The event ends with everybody came back on stage to perform "Jounetsu ~We are Brothers~".

Akibaranger Opens Super Sentai-Themed Cafe

To promote the second season of Unofficial Sentai Akibaranger, a Super Sentai-themed cafe opened today, January 16th! Called "Akibaranger Cafe Delusion Base", the shop will open until February 17th, from 11:30 AM JST to 5:00 PM JST.

Super Hero Kamen Rider x Super Sentai LIVE&SHOW 2013 DVD Details

This event was held last January 11-12, 2013 featured cast members from Kamen Rider Wizard and Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and just like last year's event, the event will also have a concert and a cast talk up! The event lasted for 200 minutes.

Kamen Rider Decade Live&Show Event [SUBBED]

Last March 2011, KITsubs released the English subs for the Kamen Rider Decade Live&Show Musical but because of the Megaupload take down, it is now gone... until someone uploaded it on YouTube!


The cast of Kamen Rider Decade appeared in the event that happened last June 28 and 29, 2009. You can also hear some familiar voices in this musical and it's quite fun watching this event!

Power Rangers Megaforce Spotted on Macy's Thanksgiving Parade

Just like last year, Saban Brands participated in this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and making their debut in this event are the Power Rangers Megaforce!


Coming along with them are 19 other Red Rangers from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers till Power Rangers Samurai! Yes, they counted the Female Red Samurai Ranger in the list of official Red Rangers!

Last year, there was a Kamen Rider 40 x Super Sentai 35 anniversary event and it was recently announced that a new Kamen Rider x Super Sentai event will happen next year!

Called "Super Hero Kamen Rider x Super Sentai: LIVE & SHOW 2013", the event will feature cast members from Kamen Rider Wizard and Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters and just like last year's event, the event will also have a concert and a cast talk up!

The Kamen Rider Wizard cast that will appear in the event are:

• Shunya Shirashi - Haruto Souma/Kamen Rider Wizard
• Makoto Okuna - Koyomi
• Junki Tozuka - Shunpei Nara
• Erina Nakayama - Misa/Medusa
