Latest Space Dandy Anime Toonami Promos


Here are the latest promos for Space Dandy, which will air on January 4, 2014 on Toonami before Japan airs it!


Directed by Shinichiro Watanabe of Cowboy Bebop fame and the series is animated by BONES of Soul Eater and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood fame.


The story revolves around Dandy, an alien hunter and his job is to seek out new alien species and receive his reward for finding one... before anyone else finds it! He travels with a robot named QT and a dimwit alien Meow, who looks like a cat.

Digimon Story Cybersleuth PS Vita Game 1st Promo


Here's the first promo for Digimon Story Cybersleuth for the PS Vita. The video features the tagline, "When the digital and real worlds intersect … our story evolves."


The game is described as a "rule-of-virtue training RPG game". The game will take place over the course of four years and evolve. The game features new places to explore, a lot of Digimon to train and what's more, players can bring their Digimon into the real world!

Digimon Story Cybersleuth will be released in 2015.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Jump Festa Promo


The first promo for Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V premiered in this year's Jump Festa event. The series will feature a new protagonist named Yuuya and is billed as "the curtains rise on a Duel revolution!!"


The series is about Yuuya Sakaki who has been trying to escape the harsh reality by smiling. But one duel leads him to make a determination to confront the difficulties and he will get the power of infinite possibilities.

The main theme of the series is "take a step forward with courage". The series premieres in Spring 2014 replacing Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal on TV Tokyo.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Anime Promo


The first promo for the much awaited JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders anime aired in today's Jump Festa event.

As seen in the promo below, since there is a change when it comes to art style from Part 1 to Part 2, they want to do the same thing with the change from Part 2 to Part 3. You can see it in our character design post earlier.


Daisuke Ono and Takehito Koyasu will reprise their roles as Jotaro Kujo and DIO respectively. Joining the cast are: Unshou Ishizuka as the old Joseph Joestar, Kenta Miyake as Mohammed Abdul, Daisuke Hirakawa as Noriaki Kakyoin and Fuminori Komatsu as Jean Pierre Polnareff.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders premieres this April 5, 2014.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment PS Vita Game 2nd Trailer


Namco Bandai Games is streaming the second trailer video of Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment game for the PS Vita. A follow up to the SAO: Infinity Moment (PSP), this game takes place in Aincrad's unexplored "Hollow Area".

Kirito once again explores Aincrad and run into a mysterious "orange player" who attacks him and claimed that she has killed a person. Kirito and his friends continue to explore the dangerous area in a new adventure.


Aside from dating the female players, the game also has an "adventure mode" in which players have an option to create their own characters and play with up to 8 other people online to go on quests in the Hollow Area.

The game will be released on April 24 and costs 6,170 yen. The game's limited first edition will include exclusive content not found in the standard edition. For more info about it, you can check this post.

Final Kill la Kill Blu-ray/DVD Volume to Include Unaired Episode


The official Kill la Kill anime website announced that the 9th/final volume of the Blu-ray/DVD will include an unaired episode.

The volume will be released on September 3, 2014 with the 24th episode and the special unaired episode. The volume will also include audio commentaries, Japanese subtitles, and a web preview video.

The limited first pressing of the volume will add a bonus making-of documentary DVD Vol. 3 disc, a case and packaging illustrated by character designer Sushio, and an exclusive book.

Latest Digimon Story Cybersleuth PS Vita Game Info Revealed


The February issue of V-Jump revealed new info about the new Digimon game titled Digimon Story Cybersleuth for the PS Vita, which will be released in 2015.

The game is described as a "rule-of-virtue training RPG game". The game will take place over the course of four years and evolve. The game features new places to explore, a lot of Digimon to train and what's more, players can bring their Digimon into the real world!

Taking place in a Japan in the near future, players must solve different mysteries befalling the Digital World. More info will be revealed in the Jump Festa event this weekend.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders Anime Artwork Revealed


The official character art for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders anime is finally revealed. The art features the five main protagonists of the upcoming anime.

Part 3: Stardust Crusaders marks the introduction of Stands in the JoJo franchise. This arc also marks the return of Dio Brando, the main antagonist of Part 1: Phantom Blood. Seen above is Jotaro Kujo, Joseph Joestar's half-Japanese grandson.


Seen on the top left is an older Joseph Joestar and on his right is his Egyptian associate, Muhammad Abdul. Below Joseph is Jotaro's classmate, Noriaki Kakyoin who ended up getting mind-controlled by Dio during his trip in Egypt. On his right is Jean Pierre Polnareff, a Frenchman who was also under Dio's mind-control. After freed from his control, we learned that he wants to avenge his sister's death. These two later joined in Jotaro's quest to defeat Dio.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders premieres in Spring 2014.

Sword Art Online: Extra Edition Anime Special Promo


Dengeki posted the first TV promo of the upcoming Sword Art Online: Extra Edition anime special. The promo features the theme song "Niji no Rainbow" by Eir Aoi.


In this special, Yui wants to see a whale, so Kirito and the gang take on an underwater quest in ALO. Much to everyone's shock however, Leafa can't swim! Asuna and the rest of the girls decide to take her to a pool in the real world to help her learn how to swim. Meanwhile, Kirito meets a certain individual...

This 2-hour anime special is partly written by original light novelist Reki Kawahara and Tomohiko Ito is back in directing the special. This special will premiere in Japan this December 31. The special will be then streamed worldwide the next day.

The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan Anime Announced


According to Docomo Anime Store, an anime adaptation based on The Disappearance of Yuki Nagato-chan is currently in the works.

The anime adaptation is based on a manga spin-off of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, which stars Yuki Nagato, the silent and alien member of the S.O.S. Brigade. The manga series currently has 5 volumes with a 6th volume scheduled for a December 26 release.

Digimon Story PS Vita Game To Be Released in 2015


More info about the new Digimon game is finally revealed. The new game entitled "Digimon Story" is being developed for the PS Vita and is set for a 2015 release.

The game is a training RPG set in the near future and a picture shows the protagonist in the real world with Digimon with him. More info about the game, which includes the trailer will be revealed in this weekend's Jump Festa event.

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren Anime Promo


The official Kyoto Animation YouTube channel posted the first promo for Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai's 2nd season entitled "Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai Ren". The promo features the show's opening theme song "Voice" by ZAQ.


The promo features Yuuta (voiced by Jun Fukuyama) saying, "Awaken, Rikka Takanashi! The time for revival has come!" In the 2nd season, due to various events, Yuuta and Rikka (voiced by Maaya Uchida) are now living together.

Chuunibyou Demo Koi ga Shitai! Ren premieres in Japan on January 8.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Anime Plot Revealed


TV Tokyo just launched the official website of the next Yu-Gi-Oh! TV anime series entitled "Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V". Just like the past shows, the series will feature a new protagonist and of course, new cards!

Pokémon XY: Cocoon of Destruction Anime Film Teaser Trailer


The teaser trailer of the new Pokémon anime film is finally revealed! Entitled "Pokémon XY: Cocoon of Destruction", the film will premiere in Japan this July 19, 2014.


Proclaimed that like the games, "the films are entering a new dimension!" The movie will feature the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yvetal and Mega Evolutions. As expected, Ash and the friends he met in the Kalos region namely Clemont, Bonnie and Serena are expected to appear in this film.

Director Kunihiko Yuyama returns for this film. Lastly, the Pokémon short entitled "Pikachu, What's This Key For?" is also part of this film.

Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Fight! Robo-Dad's Counterattack Anime Film Trailer


The teaser trailer of the upcoming Crayon Shin-chan movie entitled "Crayon Shin-chan the Movie: Fight! Robo-Dad's Counterattack" is now streaming in the film's official website.


In this film, Shin-chan's dad goes for a massage to fix his sprained back. However, he returns home as a robot, "with a snort more powerful than an electric fan!" The "father revolution" breaks out throughout the land.

Wataru Takahashi returns to direct the film while Kazuki Nakashima (Gurren Lagann, Kamen Rider Fourze) is writing the screenplay. The film premieres on April 19, 2014.

The Wind Rises Nominated for Best Foreign Language Film in 71st Golden Globes


It is officially announced that Hayao Miyazki's 11th and final film entitled "The Wind Rises" is nominated for the 71st Annual Golden Globes for Best Foreign Language Film.

Also nominated in that category are: France's Blue is the Warmest Color, Italy's The Great Beauty, Denmark's The Hunt, and Iran's The Past.

In addition, there's no anime films nominated for Best Animated Feature Film. The film nominated in that category are: The Croods, Despicable Me 2, and Frozen.

The 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards will happen on January 12, 2014.

Asuna's Lambent Light Rapier from Sword Art Online Mini Replica Announced


A new line of mini-replicas called "Eternal Masterpiece" is finally announced. First on the list of mini-replicas is the Asuna's Lambent Light from Sword Art Online.

This zinc diecast replica of Asuna's trademark rapier from the popular anime/light novel series is 15 cm in length and has its own scabbard. This item is promised to be a of better quality, higher density and more details than comparable character goods.

GARNiDELiA to Perform Next Kill la Kill Opening Theme


It is announced that the duo called GARNiDELiA will perform the next Kill la Kill opening theme.

The song called "ambiguous" will be released early next year as the duo's under Sony Music Entertainment's DefSTAR label. GARNiDELiA is composed of female vocalist Maria and composer Toku.

3 New Support Characters Joins Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax Crossover Game


3 new characters are added to upcoming Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax fighting game as support characters. This game features characters from the Dengeki Bunko light novel imprint.

These three new characters are: Holo from Spice and Wolf, Kaori Shimizu from Boogiepop Phantom and Sadao Maoh from The Devil is a Part Timer! (Hataraku Maoh-sama). Seen below are the characters in action.


Other support characters for the upcoming game include: Wilhemina Carmel (Shakugan no Shana), Leafa (Sword Art Online), Kuroneko (Oreimo), Toma Kamijo (A Certain Magical Index), Haruyuki Arita (Accel World) and Celty Sturluson (Durarara!!!).

Details about the game's release and the consoles where this game will be available is still unknown as of this writing.

Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V Anime Announced


The third 2014 issue of Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced that a new Yu-Gi-Oh! TV anime series will premiere next spring!

The new series called "Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V" will feature a new protagonist named Yuya Sakaki. The show's key visuals features him and a few key monsters. More info about the new series will be revealed in future issues of Weekly Shonen Jump and V-Jump magazine.
