Kamen Rider The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle TV Special

A TV special for the Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle aired today. This 30-minute special gives us what we need to know about this year's Rider crossover film, in short, expect some spoilers.


Kamen Rider Wizard's portion is written by Junko Komura while Nobuhiro Mori is writing the other two parts. Directed by Ryuta Tasaki, the movie will premiere this December 14, 2013.

Live-Action The Next Generation -Patlabor- Teaser Trailer

The first teaser of Mamoru Oshii's The Next Generation -Patlabor- live-action series and film project is now online. The teaser features the main mecha of the series, the AV-98 Ingram in motion.

A sequel to the original Patlabor anime stories, it takes place in the year 2013 in Tokyo and features the third generation of Patlabor. The Tokyo Metropolitan Police has disbanded its Section 2 Division 1 of police robots, and Section 2 Division 2 barely survived the budget cuts due to the long recession.


The project begins as a seven-part series, which is composed of an episode 0 that lasts for 10 minutes and 12 full episodes directed by project's chief director Mamoru Oshii and other directors. Oshii will also direct the feature-length film that will open in Spring 2015.

Each part of the seven-part series will last for 45 minutes with the first part that is set to premiere on April 5, 2014.

Baron vs. BLACK, Joker vs. BLACK RX in Kamen Rider War?!

Things are starting to get more interesting for the upcoming Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider War feat. Super Sentai film as one photo has surfaced online, which featured one of the battles in the said film.

As seen in the picture above, it's Baron vs. BLACK and Joker vs. BLACK RX! It's was earlier reported that Renn Kiriyama, best known for his role as Shotaro Hidari aka Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider Joker will appear in the movie.

The new film will premiere on March 29, 2014.

Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters: Tategami Raiden Kyoryuzin Revealed

A new scan for Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters the Movie revealed the special mecha combination for this film! Meet the Tategami Raiden Kyoryuzin!

This formation is composed of Go-Busters' Tategami Li-Oh and Kyoryuger's Raiden Kyoryuzin. With Kyoryuzin as the main body for this formation, The Go-Busters enter the Kyoryuger's team cockpit. Also featured in this scan is the team mecha finisher featuring Tategami Raiden Kyoryuzin, Daizyujin and Abaren-Oh.

The movie is written by Riku Sanjou and directed by Koichi Sakamoto. Kyoryuger vs. Go-Busters premieres January 18, 2014.

Decade, Kaixa and W Returns in Kamen Rider War!

Unveiled last week, the first photo for the upcoming Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider War feat. Super Sentai film revealed 3 actors who will reprise their roles for the film!

It is officially confirmed that Masahiro Inoue, Kohei Murakami and Renn Kiriyama will reprise their roles as Tsukasa Kadoya aka Kamen Rider Decade, Masato Kusaka aka Kamen Rider Kaixa and Renn Kiriyama aka Kamen Rider W.

The new film will premiere on March 29, 2014.

Live-Action Rurouni Kenshin Film Sequels First Teaser Trailer

The first teaser trailer of the much awaited live-action Rurouni Kenshin film sequels is finally revealed. The teaser highlights the original film's popularity as well as Tatsuya Fujiwara as Makoto Shishio.

Movie Walker Plus reported the current Japanese weekend box office rankings, and it is revealed that Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle debuted at the 3rd spot!

Still on the top spot is Lupin III vs. Detective Conan the Movie, which is then followed by Gravity, which also debuted last weekend. Details such as the film's first week earnings will be updated soon.

Live-Action Rurouni Kenshin Movie Sequels: First Photo of Makoto Shishio

Before the official Warner Brothers live-action Rurouni Kenshin website unveil it, a Japanese talk show finally revealed the first image of actor Tatsuya Fujiwara as Makoto Shishio!


Makoto Shishio is the main antagonist of the Rurouni Kenshin manga/anime series' Kyoto Arc, and yes, they retained his trademark burns and bandages, which he acquired thanks to the government "disposing" him after his job is done.

The two upcoming Rurouni Kenshin films based on the Kyoto Arc entitled "Rurouni Kenshin: The Great Kyoto Fire Arc" and "Rurouni Kenshin: The End of a Legend Arc" are both slated to have summer 2014 release.

Live-Action Lupin III Film to Premiere in August 2014

A photo from the live-action Lupin III film, which features the film's last shooting day in Chendai, China has surfaced online.

Aside from the prominent foreign crew, you can clearly see Shun Oguri as the titular character Lupin III wearing Lupin's iconic red shirt and yellow necktie. It was previously reported that Oguri was spotted wearing the alternate green shirt and yellow necktie outfit.

Aside from China, the film will also film in the following locations: Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong and the Philippines. The movie began filming on October 3.

This modernized take on Monkey Punch's classic manga/anime series premieres in August 30, 2014.

"TEPPEN STAR" by hitomi Short Music Video

Avex's official YouTube channel posted a short version of hitomi's latest single called "TEPPEN STAR", the theme song of Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle. Bits of the song can be heard in the latest promos for the film.

Taekwondo Damashii: Rebirth Film Latest Trailer

Here's the new trailer of the upcoming Taekwondo Damashii: Rebith film, which stars Masahiro Inoue (Kamen Rider Decade), Ryoma Baba (Go-Busters) and Kyosuke Hamao (Goseiger). The trailer features the film's theme song.

This is the first taekwondo-themed film in Japan and was produced with the full cooperation of the International Taekwon-do Federation Japan (ITF-JAPAN).


This story about three brothers who are involved in a conflict over which one of them will be heir to the family taekwondo dojo. One day, they accidentally wander into a mysterious forest where they're suddenly attacked. Their only means of escape is to keep defeating enemies utilizing their taekwondo skills in order to live up to their destinies.

Also starring in the film are Kazushige Nagashima, Rina Koike, Seiran Kobayashi, and Renji Ishibashi. The movie is set for a February 15, 2014 release.

Live-Action Silver Spoon Movie Full Trailer

The official website of the live-action movie adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's Silver Spoon manga posted the full trailer of the movie. The trailer features the film's theme song entitled "Hidamari" by YUZU.

The movie is about Yugo Hachiken (played by Kento Nakajima) who winds up attending an Agricultural high school in Hokkaido where students participate in the day-to-day operations of a dairy farm.


Hachiken is from the city and isn't accustomed to farm life. However, he eventually experiences growth as he struggles through various group training activities. Along the way, he meets new friends, which includes Equestrian Club member Aki Mikage (played by Alice Hirose).

Directed by Keisuke Yoshida (Cafe Isobe, Triangle), the movie is produced by TBS and Wilco (All About Lily Chou-Chou) and the distributor TOHO.

Silver Spoon premieres this March 7, 2014 in Japan.

Pokémon XY: Cocoon of Destruction Anime Film Teaser Trailer

The teaser trailer of the new Pokémon anime film is finally revealed! Entitled "Pokémon XY: Cocoon of Destruction", the film will premiere in Japan this July 19, 2014.


Proclaimed that like the games, "the films are entering a new dimension!" The movie will feature the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yvetal and Mega Evolutions. As expected, Ash and the friends he met in the Kalos region namely Clemont, Bonnie and Serena are expected to appear in this film.

Director Kunihiko Yuyama returns for this film. Lastly, the Pokémon short entitled "Pikachu, What's This Key For?" is also part of this film.

New Kikaider Movie to Premiere in 2014

Publisher Kadokawa revealed on their official website that the upcoming Kikaider movie will air next year.

The site also featured the new Kikaider novel, which listed that the movie will be released this fall. The new Kikaider movie was first revealed at the end credits of Super Hero Taisen Z (pictured).

Toei opened a new Superhero Movie site, which featured every major Kamen Rider in both Showa and Heisei eras.

Entitled "Heisei Rider vs. Showa Rider: Kamen Rider War feat. Super Sentai", this new film will premiere on March 29, 2014.
