After 17 years of operations, the Ultraman-themed theme park, Ultraman Land closed last September 1, 2013.
The said theme park is located in Araoshi City, Kumamoto Prefecture started its operations in March, 1996. As the years went by, the number of people attending the park decreased, which then resulted to its closure. On the last two days, the park opened two hours early and on its final day, the park held a grand closing ceremony for the fans at 7:45 pm.
