See you again, my Kakuranger.
Powerless with a now more powerful Prince Junior, the Kakurangers will now find a way to defeat Prince Junior and stop the revival of the Infernal Majesty. My friends, this is how Kakuranger Act I ends.
This is one of those times that the Kakurangers are beaten badly by the Yokai and unlike that they time they were first badly beaten; this is the first time our heroes are completely defeated. Even though how much they tried to stop Prince Junior, they still can't beat him. Heck, to make matters worse, the Juusho Fighters are useless against Prince Junior's newfound powers! Badly beaten up, they were saved by Tsubasamaru and brought our heroes to a safe hiding place in which they learned more about the history of the long war between the ninjas and the Yokai.
This is the most interesting part of the episode after seeing our heroes getting beaten up by Prince Junior. The little history lesson we have that this war started 2,000 years ago in the past thanks to the Heavenly Triad and their attempts to seal the Yokai. What I love about it is how dedicated they are with this task that their spirits became the Tsubasamaru, Muteki Shogun and the Kakure Daishogun. This is when we learned that our heroes haven't mastered the Kakure Style yet. For them to completely master this style and for them to freely summon the Heavenly Triad, they need to look for the missing Shinobi Scrolls.
What I like about this scene is that the team must go in their separate ways for them to find the scrolls. The struggle if they will separate as a team is the strongest part of the episode. For 24 episodes, we see them bond and enjoy each other’s company. We see them laugh and cry together and even help each other, especially when it comes to Seikai's love life. Seeing them having a hard time to accept the fact that they must go on their separate ways for now shows us how each of them can cope up to this kind of situation. At the end, the team decided to go on their separate ways to look for the scrolls for the sake of everyone.
The parting scene is really great; the short flashback sequence of the best moments of each Kakuranger thus far kinda showed us audience how much they have grown in just a short time. This flashback also tells us one thing, even though they are miles apart, they are still the best of friends and someday, they will see each other... well that someday is to be specific, 1 month or else the kids who are turned into stone will die. So yeah, even though there's actually a deadline on when they will be together again, the sight of seeing these five go their separate ways is one heartbreaking scene.
But for now, see you again, my Kakuranger. We will soon meet again. And thus, Ninja Sentai Kakuranger Act I come to a close so what to expect in the next act? Aside that the narrator is not anymore narrating the next episode previews; it seems that the show will slowly become more serious. There is nothing wrong with Kakuranger becoming quite serious but considering that they only have one month to save the world, our group of idiot ninjas being led by a 16-year-old girl needs to take this mission seriously.
