The latest issue of CoroCoro magazine revealed new information about Pokémon X & Pokémon Y. This time around, it has something to do with a new evolution called Mega Evolution.
Seen below is a scan of some of the Mega Evolution that will appear in the game. These Mega Evolutions are: MegaBlaziken, MegaAbsol, MegaMawile, MegaMewtwo, MegaLucario and MegaAmpharos.
The new Mega Evolutions will have new traits, first is MegaMawile, which is now a Steel/Fairy-type Pokémon and his ability called "Huge Power". MegaBlaziken has Speed Boost; MegaLucario has Adaptability; MegaAbsol has the ability called "Magic Bounce". MegaMewtwo has the ability called "Insomnia". MegaAmpharos is now an Electric/Dragon type and has the ability called "Mold Breaker".
What is this mysterious Mega Evolution? How can players acquire it? To help players understand the new Mega Evolutions, a Gym Leader named Koruni is the key to understand this new kind of evolution.
Aside from the new Mega Evolutions, the new issue also introduced three new Pokémon! First is the Grass-type Meekuru, the pre-evolution of Gogoat. Next is the Electric/Fairy-type Dedenne, this Antenna Pokémon has the abilities Pick Up or the new ability Cheek Pouches. Lastly, is the Normal-type Horubii, this Digging Pokémon also has the abilities Pick Up or Cheek Pouches.
In addition, a new Super Training facility will be introduced in the game. Lastly, the first event for Pokémon X and Pokémon Y was also announced in the magazine. The event that will happen from October 12th to January 15th in which they will distribute a Torchic that holds a new item called "Blaziken Knight". This new Torchic will eventually evolve into MegaBlaziken.
