Kamen Rider Wizard 10 – Agent Kizaki Meddles

U MAD BRO?

For weeks, NSA Section Zero's Agent Kizaki is observing Haruto Souma's activities as Kamen Rider Wizard and recently, he decided to approach Wajima to make him a special ring with the use of some emerald that he has in his possession. Meanwhile, a kid named Kouta is looking for Agent Kizaki for some reason.

This episode is really fantastic since we finally have the involvement of Agent Kizaki and having him around means serious business. In the case of this episode, Kizaki has the guts to kidnap Wajima for him to do a special ring. The first thing that I am bothered with is that why he needs a Wizard Ring and who gave him that large emerald magic stone? Much to my disappointment, he didn't answer any of those questions in this episode. Hopefully, I can have those answers in the next episode.

The Phantom in this episode is the Gargoyle and it seems that he has this history with the Gate in this episode since the Gate escaped when he first met him. To put it simply, he just wants to finish the job that he failed to finish months ago. His first fight in this episode is really fantastic; one thing to note here is that the Gargoyle has the ability to transform into stone, giving Wizard a hard time to finish him. What's more, Wizard didn't transform into Wizard Flame Dragon during his first encounter with Gargoyle, instead he just transformed into Wizard Flame Style and Wizard Land Style and I like it since most of the time, most Riders transform to their current strongest form once they had it.

As expected, the Phantom escaped and we learn more about the kid and his relation with Kizaki, turns out that the two are really close back then before the kid's father died during one job. This is around the time Kizaki starts to become a serious jerk and less trusting since he sees Wizard as a threat. This kind of situation reminded me a bit of Kamen Rider Kuuga's earlier episodes, the police doubt that Kuuga is their ally but thanks to Ichijou being bros with Godai, the police understand that Kuuga is part of the good guys.

What bothered me with Kamen Rider Wizard's case with the cops is that it took them 10 episodes for them to bring this up. But what the heck, at least they bring this thing up before the show reaches the 20-30 episode mark! The argument between Haruto and Kizaki is fun to watch, aside that they are spinning the scene to give this intensity in the scene, I just love how Haruto defends his side that he has every right to get involve with the Phantoms and Kizaki should just stand back since he can't do anything to fight them. While they are busy fighting about who has the right to protect everyone, Kizaki received a call that the Gate ran away.

Haruto also received the same call from Koyomi, Shunpei and Rinko and starts looking for the kid who just happens to enter a facility where his father died. What I didn't expect is the appearance of the Phantom in the facility, which can only mean one thing, the Phantom is aware about the kid's history with the place. This could also mean that the one who attacked Kizaki and his mentor, the kid's father is the Phantom who wants to put the kid into despair. Thankfully, Wizard arrives and fights the Phantom.

The second fight between Wizard and Gargoyle is really fun to watch, what's more, Wizard transformed into the Wizard Flame Dragon after the lesson he learned from fighting it earlier. Because Wizard decided to enlarge the WizarSwordGun, this cause me to conclude that the only time Wizard can cast any spell to the WizarSwordGun is during the time he is in his Dragon form. I like this kind of limitation to the powers of Kamen Rider Wizard; it made the Dragon forms really interesting. Now I wonder what happens if Wizard will cast the Smell or Sleep Ring in the WizarSwordGun?

Because of the power of the Wizard Flame Dragon, it easily destroyed Gargoyle's defense and cleared all the Ghouls that he summoned, well that is expected especially if you have a dragon in your chest that breaths fire! The episode ends with the kid finally having a proper confrontation with Agent Kizaki about the truth behind his father's death.
