The official YouTube Channel for the upcoming Rurouni Kenshin live action film began streaming two 60-second "Nadeshiko" and "Samurai" television commercials. The film stars Takeru Satoh (Kamen Rider Den-O) as Kenshin Himura.
Also are Emi Takei (Taira no Kiyomori, Aysuko Match!) as Kaoru Kamiya, Yuu Aoi (Hana and Alice, Honey and Clover) will play Megumi Takani, while Munetaka Aoki (The Last Message Umizaru, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time) will play Sanosuke Sagara, and Taketo Tanaka will take on the role of Yahiko Myōjin aka Yoshi.
In addition, Koji Kikkawa (Kamen Rider W) will play as Jine Udo, Yosuke Eguchi as Hajime Saitō, and Teruyuki Kagawa as Kanryū Takeda.
Rurouni Kenshin follows the story of a fictional assassin named Himura Kenshin, from the Bakumatsu who becomes a wanderer, offering protection and aid to those in need as atonement for the murders he once committed as an assassin.
Rurouni Kenshin premieres August 25th.
