Last March, we reported that Hunter × Hunter will have its very first anime film adaptation. Entitled “Hunter × Hunter the Movie: Phantom Rogue,” it will be the first film for the anime series since it started, 14 years ago!
“Hunter × Hunter the Movie: Phantom Rogue” will have an original story written by Yoshihiro Togashi himself. The staff also noted that the movie will be a "dramatic action" film. The Phantom Troupe will make an appearance in the film, and the "scarlet" in the title refers to the red eyes of the Kurta clan where Kurapika hails from.
“Hunter × Hunter the Movie: Phantom Rogue” will open in theaters in Japan on January 12th, 2013.
