Fans might not be getting a remake anytime soon, Squere Enix officially confirmed that the popular Final Fantasy VII video game will be heading back on the PC, with achievements and updates. Check out the announcement below:
Final Fantasy VII follows the story of Cloud Strife, who joins the eco-terrorist rebel organization AVALANCHE in their quest to stop the world-controlling megacorporation Shinra, who are draining the life of the planet for use as an energy source.
Final Fantasy VII is considered as the best selling game in the series, and has retrospectively been acknowledged as the game that popularized the role-playing genre outside of the Japanese market. It already spun various pre/sequel games, spin-offs, and full length film.
Final Fantasy VII PC will be available via download. Release date and price are yet to be announced.
