IGN recently talked to Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto if they have plans to make a new F-Zero game. His reply? He doesn't have a good idea on what they can do to make F-Zero a really great game again.
He also said that they've worked with other companies in the past with some of their games like Star Fox and F-Zero but the more they think about it, they prefer creating those games internally. Currently, they've been working on what they can do to increase their internal staff so that they can have more projects going at the same time.
The last F-Zero game was F-Zero Climax for the Game Boy Advance.
