IT'S HAPPENING!
Nobuhiko's evolution into Shadow Moon is slowly happening and we learned that Black Sun and Shadow Moon, collectively known as the Century Kings must fight each other to claim the title of Creation King, the leader of the Gorgom cult. To obtain Kotaro's Kingstone and at the same time, cause the end of mankind, the female priestess though of a brilliant plan; what is this plan and how can Kotaro stop it?
For two episodes, we only see Gorgom do minimal damage to human society as its activities are only concentrated within the organization. By activities related to the organization, it includes killing all traitors, which includes Kotaro Minami aka Kamen Rider BLACK. In this episode, we actually saw Gorgom do a plan that will cause a lot of damage to human society. In the case of this episode, the strange case of sudden disappearances of humans in a tunnel. Since the show is set during the 80's, it is expected that the only survivor in this one is a kid.
The kid told us everything we need to know about the disappearances, so we have a general idea on what is Gorgom's plot in this episode. Even if that is the case, Gorgom's plot becomes a bit confusing thanks to one Bat Mutant getting a satellite from outer space for some reason! I am not sure why Gorgom needs a satellite in their plan but whatever that plan is, it is either ridiculous or the plan has something to do with human sacrifices with bits of sci-fi.
Though it's not the main focus of this episode, we got a glimpse of Professor Kuromatsu who is now evolving more into a mutant. Because of the focus on Professor Kuromatsu, I guess he will make a greater role in later episodes of the series. Back to Kotaro, after a few more abductions by some mutants, he finally discovers were Gorgom is taking their victims. The first thing that Kotaro sees is silkworm threads wrapped on the human victims. I am not sure what is the relation of the Silkworm Mutant to Gorgom's plan but it seems that the plan is leaning more on the ridiculous side.
Thanks to the priestess' appearance, we finally learn what this plan is; it is to create an artwork called "The End of Mankind". I knew it; their first plan is the ridiculous one! I mean, if you want to destroy or end mankind while putting art in it, have an organized attack on humans with every mutant they have in their arsenal and not abduct humans and turn them into static artwork with a Silkworm Mutant for crying out loud! What's more, they are planning to turn BLACK into the centerpiece of this artwork!
Because of their plan, Kamen Rider BLACK fights them and while we are it, saved a couple of humans that are hanging on a suspended cage. The fight between BLACK and the Silkworm Mutant felt like a rehash of the Spider Mutant with more silk threads and less fist fights. I guess I find it understandable since the mutant's specialty is wrapping its victims on silk threads until they will die because of suffocation. At the end, BLACK defeats the Silkworm Mutant and saves its victims. For the first time, the victims have seen their savior. The name of this savior is Kamen Rider BLACK! Of course, the girls and the kid shouldn't know that Kotaro is Kamen Rider BLACK!
