Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters 42 – Megazord or Metaroid?

After the Go-Busters defeated yet another Trainroid, much to their surprise, Enter used a Messiah Card to turn a Megazord into a Metaroid! Or should I say, I Megazordroid! Its mission is to gather data coming from losers. Why Enter wants data coming from losers and can Yoko save the humans inside the train?

The first thing that interests me is why we have yet another Trainroid but after a few minutes, this question of mine is answered thanks to Enter creating a new Metaroid with the Megazord that it transported. At first, having a Megazordroid is something that I find really interesting. It's a rather interesting mix, especially after there is a Megazord transport after the Megazordroid was created! Guess even a Metaroid created from a Megazord is not exempted from the general practice of Megazord transport in the series. What made it more impressive is that the second Megazord didn't attack our heroes since they can't see it at the first place!

As for the Megazordroid, it escaped and started his mission to gather data from losers aka people who suck in their lives. Lucky enough, Yoko had a chance to board on one of the Megazordroid's destinations! Because she can't transform inside the Megazordroid, she has no choice but to be with the depressed humans. Meanwhile, I find it interesting that Escape is now obedient to Enter since hey, he has a Messiah Card inside his body, technically making him like Messiah. As for the other Go-Busters, they are not that worried about Yoko because they have a plan to lure the enemy Megazordroid... by having Nakamura act like she is depressed.

Back to Yoko, after seeing how the Megazordroid absorb the data of human depression, she decided to cheer the humans up! Yoko's cheerful mood did ease up the depression of those humans and it didn't help that she sings that song Five Yellow and DekaPink sang in their respective first episodes! It's cute seeing Yoko do a sing and dance number just to cheer up the humans inside the train. What made it cuter is what happens after her performance, she bump her head on the train!

Because she is cheering up those humans, the Megazordroid decided to send some Burglars and Yoko did a good job in protecting the civilians. Back to other Go-Busters, though their plan failed, I just love that Jin was able to quickly think of a plan B just for the Hiromu and Ryuji to infiltrate the Megazord. The infiltration scene looks really fantastic especially how it was shot. One thing to point out is that this episode has a lot of good looking mecha shots.

Inside the Megazordroid, Hiromu and Ryuji was welcomed by Enter and Hiromu fights Enter while Ryuji will destroy the dynamo since that is their plan to begin with. Hiromu and Enter's fight in this episode is fantastic. The fight inside the Megazordroid, though short is quite fun to watch and it didn't help that it ended up them duking it out outside the train in their super forms!

Unlike Hiromu's first encounter with Enter with his monster form, Hiromu surprisingly manage to match up with Enter in terms of power, like they are equals in terms of power. In addition to that, Enter also revealed his plan that he is not just gathering data about human depression or weakness but he is also gathering another data inside that train. This thing bothered me for a bit and thankfully, he was able to explain it later in this episode, which I will get into later.

Back to the Megazordroid, much to my surprise the episode didn't feature the stock footage of Escape's transformation to her monster form. It can only mean one thing; the show has enough budget for the penultimate episodes of the series. As expected, Ryuji fights Escape and the first thing I notice is that the Powered Custom armor parts that are flying around also served as a barrier for the user. As seen in this scene, the flying armor hit Escape when she is about to charge on Ryuji.

Back to Yoko, after she lost her juice, one of the humans gave her something to eat that powered her up to fight escape and finally, destroy the dynamo. After the destruction of the Megazord and Hiromu learn that Enter has a Messiah Card in his body, we learn the second data that he gathered, the recovery of a human being after his/her depression. It makes perfect sense now! If he wants Messiah to last really long, this data is indeed really needed and we finally see this data applied after the destruction of the Megazordroid as from its body rise up is a Delta-type Megazord that absorbed the Messiah Card, which lead to the creation of the Zeta Megazord!

The Zeta Megazord looks fantastic and it didn't help that Escape is piloting it! As expected, its new powers beat the Go-Buster Ace and the Go-Buster Beet. The only problem is that the Zeta Megazord is not used with its newfound power and as expected, they retreated. With the appearance of the Zeta Megazord, it seems that they are building a lot of things for the penultimate story arc of the series.
