Sengoku Basara Live-Action TV Series Announced
Capcom's popular video game franchise Sengoku Basara will have its first live-action series to be entitled, “Sengoku Basara -Moonlight Party-” starting next month! The series was first adapted into two anime series and a movie.

Actor/singer GACKT (New Fist of the North Star, Kamen Rider Decade) will star as the tyrant Oda Nobunaga (right); Kento Hayashi (Arakawa Under the Bridge) as the six-sword wielder, Date Masamune (center); and, Kouhei Takeda (Hana Kimi, Kamen Rider Kiva) as spearman. Sanada Yukimura (left).

Sengoku Basara Live-Action TV Series Announced
GACKT will contribute the ending theme song “Hakuro.” The show will premiere on July 12th on MBS, and will run late night, every Thursday at 1:25 a.m. (or early Friday morning). The drama will proceed to the BS-TBS channel later in September.

Update: Hidenori Tokuyama (Kamen Rider Kabuto, Hana Kimi 2012) was added into the cast as Masamune's loyal retainer, Kojuro Katakura.
