Grappler Baki Manga to End in 10 Weeks
Keisuke Itagaki revealed that the fighting manga Grappler Baki will be ending its Weekly Shonen Champion run in less than 10 weeks. The latest chapters focuses on the fight between Baki and his father Yujiro.
The “Baki” manga series had ended at least two times, when the original Grappler Baki were renamed to New Grappler Baki in 1991, and was later became Baki Hanma: The Son of the Ogre in 2006. At the launch event talk for magazine Bessatsu Shonen Champion, and in the manga plot, Itagaki stated that he definitely left the door open for another tournament in Baki's future.
The story of Grappler Baki manga revolves around young Baki Hanma and his quest to proclaim himself as the strongest in the world, thus taking the title from his father Yujiro Hanma. Baki also fights to gain the trust of his overly psychotic mother.
