Additional information about New Ultraman Retsuden's plot has been revealed. The said series will feature the new Ultraman, Ultraman Ginga in action. The series will premiere this July 10th.
Thousands of years ago, a mysterious someone had turned all Ultra biengs, aliens, and monsters into Spark Dolls using a device called Darkness Spark. In the present, a high school student named Hikaru Raido (played by Takuya Negishi) came back to the village where he was born and he found out his grandpa's shrine was destroyed by a sudden fire.
However, the Shintai was saved and moved to an abandoned school. Hikaru decided to squat in the school to continue take care of the Shintai for his grandpa. One day, Hikaru meets a talking doll named Ultraman Taro. He tells Hikaru that he is the "selected one" and now acts as his mentor figure.
There were countless Spark Dolls hidden in the village and they're now being awaken by the Galaxy Spark which was being worshiped as the Shintai cared by Hiraku. From these Spark Dolls, only Taro is the one who is conscious and can act on his own will. Taro will also act as the series' narrator.
Aside from Taro, Alien Baruki will play an important role in the series. He acts as an agent to a mysterious individual and hands the Darkness Dummy Spark and Spark Dolls to individuals who have a corrupted mind.
Directed by Yuichi Abe, Tomo Haraguchi, Kengo Kaji and Yoshikazu Ishi, New Ultraman Retsuden is separated into two parts. Part 1 called "Summer Break" is composed of episodes 1-6 and Part 2 will be the Holiday season and is composed of episodes 7-11, and it will air from November to December.
