After many years, the Pokémon franchise will add a new type of Pokémon starting in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y. This new type is the Fairy type.
This new type is super effective against Dragon type Pokémon. As seen above, some past Pokémon species are now reclassified under this category, these Pokémon are: Jigglypuff, Gardevoir and Marill. The newest Eevee evolution, Sylveon is under this new type.
Pokémon X and Pokémon Y will be released worldwide for the Nintendo 3DS in both retail and on the Nintendo eShop starting this October 12th.
